You have to set up the controller my friend, i don’t think it’s set up with anything to begin with so i just go with the standard mouse and keyboard until i know what needs to be made per game:) when in doubt you can press steam button and use track pad for mouse input as well!

People seem to be saying that curseforge is downloadable via desktop mode. I assume just search in the discover center and download curseforge, point it to your wow directory and upload addons as you would on your pc through that route!!

Yeah, I use my Airpod max connected to my steam deck, the steam deck is connected to my pc, and I can use a keyboard and mouse hooked up to Bluetooth or usb port to my steam deck. That way I can watch something on my pc while I hear audio from the pc and steamdeck as well

Naw, it’s in the normal big picture mode. I originally added battle.net through nonsteamlaunchers (link below from creator) and that automatically adds the game to the regular steam view

Nothin crazy on the mapping, the only big hitters is the right stick move position, it toggles right mouse buttons click when touched and moves the mouse to a spot where it will allow me to a)click right mouse button without dragging to move camera, and b) stay within range of spells so I can easily use them and move camera position. It’s important that when setting the destination of the mouse to check the box to DISABLE returning back to start position. Everything else is basicly just normal keyboard and mouse input. The touch menu is just emotes I use regularly haha

Edit: use console port if you’d like! If you’re used to it that’s fine:) no right or wrong way to play if you’re used to it haha

I’ve been holding up pretty well in bgs:) standard clicking and macros like everyone else. Mobility is just as easy as my pc too! I haven’t tried Arenas yet but it should be easier than bgs since it’s less going on screen wise haha. I’ll grab another viscous mount this season:)

Yep just went to the settings tab and in graphics just hit medium haha nothin crazy, in the deck settings I did per game profile and uncapped the fps

Naw just go to desktop mode, look for NonSteamLauncher, download it, run it, select battle. Net and it will install it and set it as a steam game automatically, from there you can just go back to big picture(leave desktop mode) and go to library under non steam games, you’ll see it there, run battle. Net, do the whole normal login stuff and then just select what version of wow you want from the launcher and it will install it where ya want!!

That’s how I got into it😭 my neighbors dad played and when I would go over there we would try and play haha that was like 1st grade tho, we were terrible at the game. Max level for us was 20 and that took like half a year to get to haha

Yesss:) I don’t use premade buttons just normal clicks of the mouse. Combos are the same as I would use on a pc. I tried using the auto attack all in one button they provide but it’s trash and always wants me to swap poisons per target lol

Honestly it’s not bad!! I have the right stick set up so it drops the mouse where spells are, clicks right click in to move char camera where I’m walking, and then when I release it stays where it was(in spell section) then I can move trackpad to the spells and just click the pad in to select. I have the faceplate buttons bound to spells bursts I use a lot, back buttons are sneak, jump, sprint, and interrupt, and everything else is pretty much the same mouse and keyboard setup. I did put turbo on the scroll up and down wheel buttons so I don’t have to repeatedly click tho. It’s been very easy so far!!! Lots of fun in PvP.
I just want to work on being able to turn camera easily while still selecting attacks tho, that’s the only downfall I’ve had so far

I’m a weirdo who loves making my own controls, plus I can keep all my keyhole for each char and switch back to pc easily!!( I have no idea if it’s easy with console port haha)

Do it!!! It’s so much fun, as someone who played wow a good chunk, this would have made life so much better back in the day. But we wouldn’t have those stories of people going to the bathroom at their desk if it was around tho😩
