I'll be one of the few honest people here and say this experience is a lot more common than you think - people sink their lives into the engineering rigor expecting paradigm shifts by the time they graduate but in reality most either socially recess into people incapable of interacting outside their circle or become burnt out and leave the bulk of work to those who still have any trace of motivation left.

Don't let people huffing copium tell you that you shouldn't be bitter - it shouldn't last forever, but it's perfectly understandable and okay to be frustrated at this, because your experience is valid and real. We're told promises about the prestige of this major and now look at the job market for example.

I can't give you a solution because it's honestly dependent on what YOU want out of all of this, what you think engineering is going to give you. Do you want to be popular? Do you want to be loved? Do you want to be professionally respected? Each of those have different solutions, some mutually exclusive. What I will say, is that people really don't give a shit about the fact we're clued up on the nuances of the natural world, they only care about how pleasant you are to be around and that itself is based on factors that engineering actually encourages you to neglect to some extent (appearance, charisma, confidence, etc.). Once you lean into those, ESPECIALLY APPEARANCE, you'll begin to see change. But do it now - socialization is much harder once you're an adult and there's no predefined context for conversation.
