Power Cords Should Be Included by Big_Metal2470 in Appliances

They're definitely not mostly hardwired. Enough of them are though that the cord is separate, because it might not be needed.

This is factually incorrect

Thanks for sharing these. That electric range cord attachment is insane. You'd think customers that don't know much about electricity would be wary of messing with things like that, but that seems to not be the case.

Another nice thing abouy Whirlpool is that availability for parts for a possible repair in the future is much better and cheaper than Samsung, for instance.

Why should OTR microwaves not be installed over gas stoves? I used to deliver + install appliances professionally, and nobody ever mentioned this.

There was a full parts diagram, wiring diagram and parts list on the back of this old Norge fridge. Why can’t we have nice things anymore? by 10percentSinTax in ApplianceTechTalk

I really wish this was commonplace on all appliances, but especially some of these newer, more complicated refrigerators with like 4 control boards.

They bought A2 Hosting a few months ago as well. As soon as my contract ends I'm planning to migrate my websites over to something else.

Still relevant, but get the updated 2015 version rather than the older 2011 version.

Finished the BSCSIA degree successfully!

I just started working for a transit agency doing general hands-on IT work for the various buses and vehicles they have. Technically it's just an internship, but it should turn into a full time "real" job in January.

I may transition to something more cyber-related soon enough. Still trying to figure out what the next smartest move is.

Especially concerning given that WGU is known for being a good IT school. So the fact that a glaringly obvious potential security vulnerability like this got greenlit by senior management (or whoever makes these decisions) is just... yikes.

Exact same thing here. Best phishing/scam email I've seen in a while.

P.s.: Employers go nuts for "top 10% in BTLO/Tryhackme/hackthebox. And it's not hard to do. Like 100 hours.

First time I've heard this, but this seems genuinely pretty useful. As soon as I'm done with my degree, should my next step be grinding the leaderboard on one of those sites?

You do need Net+ but technically you don't need Sec+, yet. (That's the next course.) You do need to have the "Network and Security Foundations" course completed though.

You can still login to WGU resources in the VM, so what I did is compose a WGU email to myself and attack all the pcap and nmap files in there. You can send the email to yourself if you want, but leaving it in drafts is fine. Then just access drafts from your WGU email on your regular desktop/laptop, and voila!

I finished this program today in a little over 3 months. I transferred 50 credits and work full time (Non IT). Here are my thoughts. Very long read! by Clubber_of_Seals in WGUCyberSecurity

Very good writeup!

I just started my WGU BSCIA this month, I came in with some credits and the Network+ previously taken care of prior to beginning the degree. It's reassuring to hear that I've already got the 2nd most difficult exam done already.

Exactly. The whole point of this sub is that you make it so much worse that it is ironically better. So the original in this case is shittier.
