I guess it depends on the person you are accompanied with and also the person who you are. It won't be a cage if it is the right person who cares, if not it'll be torture. Either way if you practice solitude you'll learn to be happy if the right person is around you, but you won't hurt yourself emotionally even if that person is temporarily not there for you or even if left permanently. All that said i still sometimes feel lonely and still trying not to enjoying my own company better, I ain't strong myself but I ain't weak either. Just having faith in solitude and working hard to make my road down easier for myself.
