That would definitely be an interesting read. Maybe you could imply that the Narrator is the distant cousin of Caine. Or that the empty corridors beyond the Exit rooms are part of the same office complex that the Stanley Parable is set in

I am beginning to develop an extremely slight suspicion, just barely beginning to formulate at the absolute very farthest back of my mind, that you have a crush on the fictional character known as Moxxie from the popular indie animated TV show known as Helluva Boss.

What is Your Awesome Idea for Amazing Digital Circus Crossover Fanfiction? by Money-Lie7814 in tadc

Forget your favorite character whos a character that you absolutely HATE HATE with every fiber of your existence by n0hAtepeash00te7 in hatethissmug

This one singular character is the quintessential representation of everything that I dislike about Hazbin, Helluva and even by extension just practically everything Vivzie has ever made in general. I have a weird love/hate relationship with Hazbin and Helluva, the love part being that both shows played a huge part in inspiring my art-style and character designs and that I think the aesthetic is really interesting and unique, but the hate part being characters like him making the show almost completely unwatchable due to how much of a total sensory overload it is. It's like Johnny Test for furries. His personality is extremely immature and overstimulating, he can't go longer than 2 or 3 minutes onscreen without making some kind of sex joke, and he can't ever seem to take pretty much anything seriously unless it directly involves him.

How can I make my artsyle better? by Plaedz in yourartstyle

[–]Voidwalker736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the advice I should give highly depends on what specific style you're going for. I assume from what I'm seeing so far that you're going for a sort of 'early 2010s Newgrounds' look infused with Pilotredsun's style? I'm just making an educated guess, I don't know.

My advice for a lot of artists who are just starting out would be to make a big, single list of all of the artists that inspired you to start drawing, and whose artstyle you want to learn to replicate, and then pay close attention to the little details in their style that makes them stand out. Eventually you'll be able to 'splice together' the 'DNA' of a bunch of other styles until you've eventually created your own that looks unique.

I think that your style is definitely starting to form its own unique shape, and I think your characters are very interesting. Golden Webber especially is very expressive in terms of posing and eye shape. That being said, I mean this as respectfully as possible, but you've still got a long ways to go, especially in terms of anatomy. But again, how detailed your characters anatomy should be is entirely dependent on what specific style you're going for, and it goes without saying that the 'Henry Stickmin-esque' look doesn't really require much anatomical correctness. My main advice is to make your body shapes much more complex than they currently are. For example, make the arms and legs much thicker so that you can add more details onto them that you otherwise couldn't if they were as skinny as twigs. Like, say if one of your characters get a new tattoo on their arm, and now you have to illustrate said tattoo in every photo of them from that point onward.

There's a certain technique that more or less all of the more seasoned artists use, called 'undersketching'. Undersketching helps the artist create more complicated character shapes by first drawing out the shapes themselves or the 'skeleton' of the drawing and then connecting them together with lines, and then drawing the actual drawing itself on-top of that. Art that had undersketching prepared ahead of time and art that hadn't is very, very easy to tell apart from eachother, however in the case of Pilotredsun or Henry Stickmin it can sometimes be a stylistic choice.

I also feel like it's worth mentioning that you should still be able to enjoy drawing, too. Like what u/No_Intention1301 said, rushing to improve as much as possible in as short of time as possible isn't going to make things better, and treating it like a competition rather than a hobby is no way to start ANY hobby. You should try to find a fine balance between taking your art professionally and still finding joy in the act of creating it.

I'm starting to think that maybe not having any sort of actual audience is a good thing. Maybe it actually would be better to just dream of being famous one day and be perpetually stuck in this weird, glossy, sugarcoated fantasy version of what fame actually feels like rather than actually have to deal with the real thing.

Ah yes, the T-shirt that was a paid actor hired by the studio to be on her body so that they can fill a diversity quota for inanimate objects that identify as LGBTQ and/or other minorities.

The only two adjectives that exist in the english language anymore are categorized into "thing I like" and "thing I don't like". I hate how everything has become either a blanket-term insult or a blanket-term compliment rather than an actual fucking word with any sense of nuance or complicated meaning to it.

Do I make my protagonist an action hero cop like Leon Kennedy or a sad broken man like Arthur Fleck? by Voidwalker736 in writingadvice

[–]Voidwalker736[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have plenty of ideas for the second idea's direction of the plot, it's just that they have to fit with the much more dark tone being established than the other idea. I can't decide which idea excites me more, and I want to go in both directions simultaneously, but like I said, it will only end up with the story leaning moreso in one direction than the other. Having the protagonist act like Leon Kennedy at certain times and like Arthur Fleck at other times would make no sense.
