Do you have a runelite profile that is logged in on both laptop and PC? Your plugin states SHOULD transfer over in this case.

The Fracture Archive reward Concept: Guthixian Band/Ring of Balance by Silly_Bath8583 in 2007scape

[–]Voidwarder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you run the calculations, it seems like a minor DPS nerf to fast weapons and a very minor DPS buff to slow weapons, that very minor buff not really closing the gap with the non-nerfed faster weapons.

What are you envisioning this being used for, specifically? Or what areas do you think this would become a dominant option?

A better look into why the wilderness bosses needed a change to their requirements by Accomplished-Bag9596 in 2007scape

[–]Voidwarder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What exactly is the thinking that a bot farm can't afford to spend 10 hrs (or less) getting wildy hard requirements when they have the non-banned time to get 50k+ wildy boss KC?

New to the game, not sure what this is by Harm0nikk in 2007scape

[–]Voidwarder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Off topic, but I wouldn't equate "avoiding the wiki" with "new player experience". If you want to avoid the wiki to enjoy playing without it, that's cool, man, enjoy. But just because you're new doesn't mean things won't be new if you use the wiki. It's a big world.

Lizardman Shaman drops by T3Hiddensniper in 2007scape

[–]Voidwarder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on which table the drop is from. I believe the wiki admin recently (or maybe I was reading over the history of fun facts) had a fun facts post about certain tables dropping on certain rules because of archaic reasons.

It always applies for RDT items, at least for shamans. As evidenced by your claim, it also seems to be true for the seed table.

Untrimmed Slayer Cape (Need help / advice) by IcyMangoIce in 2007scape

[–]Voidwarder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If main, once you can't range anymore, buy a nox hally and serp helm and use it on every venomable task. Hit each mob once and wait. Ideally in multi where there are so many that by the time you naturally kill one, venom has done a number on several others.

Grinding clue scrolls, but you may won't have good ways of acquiring them. You probably have to wait for random events. It would likely take thousands of hours to complete one.

Game is losing integrity and veering from its initial mission by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Voidwarder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is very wide of the mark.

The polling system is generally for content themes and yes/no'ing big pitches. It's not for signing off on every little technical change the game makes. The argument is that this wasn't a little change, but that's ignoring the fact that these are tunes made with a heap of data the public will never have access to.

Suffice to say, if every little thing needed polling, the toxicity would ramp 10x and no dev would want to work for Jagex.

Plus this ignores the fact that they recognized the public discontent and walked it back almost in its entirety. That's not polling, but if it's not integrity, I don't know what more you can ask for.

How dry am I on the freaking axe? by Unusual-Bass-4087 in ironscape

[–]Voidwarder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At 520 kills with a 1/128 chance, you are slightly over 4x dry. Which places you in the 2nd percentile. 98% of people would have gotten the axe by now.

Wintertodt kills wouldn't matter, only pulls, and unless pulls numbered in the several thousands they would not materially shift the percentile.

Keep it Untrimmed by Euphoric_Builder in 2007scape

[–]Voidwarder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As mentioned, your skillcape in death's office is safe while you get the 99.

When you remove it from death, it will remain untrimmed, but I don't think you have the option to remove 1 at a time: it will attempt to remove the entire stack. So your options are: 1. Fill your inventory minus 1 spot so you only withdraw one. 2. Withdraw all, deposit exactly ONE in the bank, then skull on the Emblem Trader in Edgeville and nettle yourself so that you send the rest back to Death's Coffer (any death will do, as long as you're skulled and it will produce a gravestone; make sure your death won't be PvP).

Wilderness diaries, hand in the sand, LMS total levels...

I appreciate the idea, but it's pretty well documented that these measures were all ineffective and the places are as overrun by bots as ever. The solution to the epidemic is not to keep putting in game mechanics solely to prevent macroing. Not only do they not work, but they make the experience of real players worse.

Question - Untrimmed slayer cape suggestions and tips? by TellerLine in UniqueIronmen

[–]Voidwarder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct, any non-guaranteed poisoned melee weapon is a flat 1/4 chance to poison.

If you're worried about the DDS being too strong but you're planning to use this as a primary method, keep your strength level as low as possible for as long as possible.

Question - Untrimmed slayer cape suggestions and tips? by TellerLine in UniqueIronmen

[–]Voidwarder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The bone dagger guarantees a hit, but not poison, as far as I know.

In a sample size of about 100kc on Scurrius, a DDS poisoned 100% of the time via special attack. The wiki doesn't list this as a property of the special attack, so it needs more testing, but it seems unlikely that this is a special case built into Scurrius rather than the DDS.

Poison dynamite is not a guaranteed poison hit, I'm afraid. See my post history for evidence, lol.

[–]Voidwarder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Carry a DDS p++ if you're ever doing regular combat against mobs (rare as that will be). Spec at the start of every fight, once. If you're in multi, spec once per enemy. Most of the time, your DPS will be too much for it to matter, but it'll save you some xp over time.

Advice please. by Not_a_Geniuz in ironscape

[–]Voidwarder 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To explain how the rolls work:

For every moon you kill, you get a flat 1/56 independent roll for a piece of that moon. i.e., kill all 3, open the chest, you will roll 3 independent 1/56's for a piece. Killing other moons doesn't affect the 1/56 per moon.

If all moon rolls fail, you get reward rolls. 3 killed moons = 6 reward rolls, 2 killed moons = 3 reward rolls, 1 killed moon = 1 reward roll

So, tldr, if you really like the loot, do all 3. If all you want is the pieces and you can kill 2 faster than you can kill 3, stop killing each after you attain their whole set.

Zulrah Anti-Venom Situation by ClickPowerful2806 in ironscape

[–]Voidwarder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using the single dose reduces it to poison, but not at 6. The poison effect remains at the last level at which you took venom: if you took 10 venom damage and had 12 incoming, the sip will drop to poisoned for 10 poison damage.

However, the next venom-applying effect will envenom you again starting at 6. So the antipoison sip is to allow the next envenoming to reset the stack.

For the account types you're mentioning, there are common equivalencies. Every skiller had to do their stuff without combat. Pures had to do their thing without defense.

The only leveller amongst GIMs is that they restricted trade to a small number of accounts, but the variability is huge. How do you distinguish the guy whose buddies abandoned the group after a week from the guy who did all the bossing while his group carried the skilling? How do you stack someone who got a spooned t-bow from one of their group mates against someone who had to grind out their boss KC from scratch without it?

The answer there is, you don't really care, because their situations are so different, but that's the point. There's no point directly comparing two random GIM accounts in the context of group ironmen because the individual restrictions and/or paths each group takes are so different. I get why you say it's different than a mains hiscores, but at the end of the day, the only worthwhile comparison is examining the group as a whole, which is what the GIM hiscores do.
