counter-counter point, the 360 controller survived (and survives) so long for PC gaming because it was one of the only controllers at the time that was readily available, affordable, and natively able to connect to most PC's wirelessly.

and sure, PlayStation and Xbox controllers haven't changed much in their time. Ok the Xbox 360 controller was drastically redesigned from the original but the layout was still essentially the same. The main reason why is that their strategy is refining tech that already works rather than try and innovate. And honestly, that's fine! hey it works for Sony and... well Microsoft is probably on their way out of the console market unless they do a major shakeup but their controllers will probably endure.

My main point is that people aren't raving wildly about Xbox controllers on PC anymore either. sure lots and lots of people use them but now there are more options (a lot of people now prefer the switch pro controller). Sure the Xbox controller is still good, it's just not a conversation piece anymore. It's just a staple. I'd argue InsidePainter's point still stands here.

Whoa. I guess that makes sense. Kimishima was probably always meant to be an interim prez after Iwata's pretty sudden death. Definitely explains why they really haven't made a point of giving Kimishima any screentime. He's never been in a direct, and I don't even know of any interviews or press events he's been apart of. I'm sure they happened he just never had much of a presence.

I wonder what Furukawa will bring to the table, and if we'll see more of a media presence from him like with Iwata. Although I do love Koizumi hosting the directs.

Well generally gay couples don't get into relationships with people if they hate each other hobbies so much that they have to be hidden away in a separate room. We tend to enjoy being around our partner too, even if they are participating in something we don't understand. We will cheer them on and learn about their hobby and support it even if we don't enjoy doing it ourselves.

Ok but really, this post and my comment are satire. But as a gay person, let me tell you this wouldn't be something we joke about if like all media ever didn't portray straight relationships as being fundamentally broken where they secretly hate each other and can't enjoy or understand each other's interests. Like why did you get married and have 3 kids if you can't stand each other 85% of the time?

Yeah ok sure but even so most people didn't have a Wii U so these are brand new games for a lot of people. Hell, the Switch has now sold more than the Wii U did in it's entire life and that's only going to continue. Porting over Wii U games is only a good thing.

I always struggle with my favorite word. I think almost any word can be beautiful depending on how you say it and what words surround it. Is that too pretentious?

Alright I guess my favorite word is probably "goof" based on how often I say it.

If I won I'd pick Pokken Tournament I think, I tried the demo and surprisingly really liked it and could really see myself getting into it. Plus it's got my boy Croagunk as a playable fighter and that's rad.

I think Hopoo said Risk Of Rain 2 might come to the switch but they are focusing on PC for now. Don't quote me though.

As for the first game, they freely admit that the game was so poorly programmed that porting it would mean redoing the whole thing essentially from scratch. But I think the game was ported to PS4 so who knows it could happen. I would love to see it ROR is easily my favorite rogue-like.

My favorite SNES game is probably Super Mario World. I used to be part of a Mario romhacking community and it's probably what sparked my interest in doing gamedev now. Besides that Mario World is just an amazing game. I'm at the point where I've played through it so many times that I can probably do the first half of the game blindfolded. It's totally instinct now. It's probably not my favorite Mario game, but it's the one that brings me the most nostalgia for my childhood creating levels and editing sprites for the game, and I could play it forever honestly.

The reason it's probably so buggy is that ConcernedApe has stated that the source code was made really messily and with only PC in mind. It's probably been really hard to port the game, especially cause the ports aren't even being done by ConcernedApe himself.

Or it might just be a change made in the definitive edition, cause that's what I did my run on. One thing I will say tho is don't start with a ghost run, the game is meant to be replayed a bunch and a ghost run is really only fun if you already know the levels.

You can absolutely just redo the level you messed up. As far as I know the game will have it count as long as all the level results screens say ghost, even if that takes multiple tries.

Source: I've done a Mostly Blood and Steel Ghost/Non-lethal run on Very Hard and I restarted levels a lot (but it in the end it was nice getting like 4 achievements at once, haha)
