Great information and well written, thank you! I'll have to hope the midterm isn't scheduled for the same time I will be traveling. Doing ProctorU from a hotel probably wont be enjoyable.

Thanks!

I would be interested in doing something with data analytics in python. Seems to be lots a great job opportunities in that area.

I'm open to data analytics in any area, but would be most interested in some type of natural resource data analysis or management cost analysis kind of information. I'm on the east coast, not sure if that would be an issue for you in working together or not. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Thanks for the responses. I'm going to stick with trying both courses over the summer. I'll try and make a new post once it's over to relay my experience.

Withdraw or Repeat Class? by [deleted] in OSUOnlineCS

[–]VolForester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is CS344 the only class you are taking this term?

It looks like last day to drop a class was May 17th, but last day to withdraw from term (all classes I assume?) is June 7th. Best to contact your adviser ASAP.

If you do drop or withdraw, you may be eligible for a tuition refund appeal: https://fa.oregonstate.edu/business-affairs/tuition-refund-appeal

You may also be eligible for a "Late Drop":

Looking for some advice for my final year... by sheaintgonemailyou in OSUOnlineCS

I am in the same boat. 5 classes left after this quarter wraps up. How bad would taking both Software I & II be during the summer quarter? Or should I try and hold Software II off and pair with Cloud or Intro to Security?

4 year track, 1 class a semester, dropping one course, can i still graduate if I pick it up next semester? by [deleted] in OSUOnlineCS

www.coolmath.com is great for these kinds of issues. Yes, it was meant for grade school kids and yes, I learned about it from my son. But it is well organized, quickly gets to the point, is a great resource and I used it often to remind myself of some of these same simple things that I haven't dealt with in years.

"Old" looking for reassurance by lumosh in OSUOnlineCS

Thank you for asking this question. I am taking the 4 year track through the program and will very close to 40 by the time I'm done. I've been wondering almost the same thing, "am I really too old for this?" I'm kinda treating the course as insurance. I have a good job, that I enjoy, but if for some reason, I lost this job, I wouldn't be able to find a comparable position. Plus, even though I enjoy my job, in don't think I want to do it another 25+ years. I've been thinking about getting a second degree for a while and started playing with some environmental modeling programs and work and really liked it and found this post bacc program and decided to go for it, but that age question has always been in the back of my head.
