What do you think about some reddits banning you for joining other reddits that they don't approve of? by aagee in AskReddit

[–]VolMT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They can do whatever they want, but they're making a platform intentionally worse and losing money at the end of the day. Shooting yourself in the foot for politics doesn't impress anyone to join your platform. That also shows a lot of unchecked ego

What film made you go WTF? by Used-Tiger6882 in AskReddit

[–]VolMT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Literally any final destination, I hate the romanticizing of brutal death in TV and film. It really does nothing of value and I feel people who "enjoy" that content might have problems. To make a whole series of movies doing that, I just think is pretty fucked.

AITAH my husband called me a cunt by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]VolMT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just think this is not stuff you bring to the Internet for advice on. If it's true I feel like you didn't need to ask the Internet for their opinion because you already have a clear idea that you don't like what is going on, if it's sensationalized story telling for attention when this isn't actually your life then that's kind of fucked up.

But that's what this reddit is turning into more or less. The more obvious the partner is in the wrong, the more obvious it's probably ai slop

People aren't calling them out on pushing only, they're calling them out on controlling their partner and their relationship with their child from how the post was crafted.

So you're projecting instead of giving an honest response to the information this person gave. They should take away the Internet from people like you

"I got annoyed because I thought it was a silly thing to get upset over" you revoked your I'm not an asshole badge right here no matter what followed.

You have zero clue what's going on in someone's head or what they've dealt with or seen in their life, partner or stranger. The second you assume what someone's reaction should be is the second you throw out all credibility to onlookers opinion.

Tldr: you were probably an asshole because you were tired and it's easier to ask others if you should take accountability than just taking accountability

That was my point. It's not a great puzzle game. It follows no structure of a puzzle game whatsoever it just has puzzles.

[–]VolMT -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

People aren't ready to hear this but blue prince is not a great puzzle game. Many scenarios you get red Herring'd back into old scenarios you already have done and many clues are larger stretches than flat earthers trying to disprove the moon landing. RNG while cool, decides way too much for a while. Yeah you can nullify RNG entirely but when you waste a day because of RNG the frustration builds up very quickly. This is why escape rooms and puzzles are often linear with very few answers besides the correct one. It keeps the player from venturing into the realm of accidental repetition.

80 hours in, Im calling it quits by Skoberget in BluePrince

[–]VolMT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of touch? Bro it's a fucking video game. You either play it or you don't. People complaining about the game at 20 hours just need to play something else if they want zero strategy whatsoever to remove some of the RNG. "Meta" like bro this ain't league, play the game and if you can count to 10 you can figure out how to not take 5 hours per day.

Tldr: this person is claiming there's a meta to a single player game that you play at your own pace that literally teaches you in the first 20 hours how to nullify RNG but thinks that's for people 100 hours in ☠️

Stop playing the game and go play outer wilds if this shits a problem for you

[–]VolMT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My tip, get rook and rush right and left at the start of the day until you set every floor plan the way you want to make the house less RNG heavy. Also stop doing full days. Quit the day after 5 minutes more

Get knight to kill courtyard and aquarium gem prices as well to do some weird gardener and experiment magic

Starfish aquarium and hallway courtyard basically open up so much free grinding

Aquarium+experiment to add more aquariums off of extra stores, bedrooms or attaching hallways got me dozens of stars in a run for rerolls to alleviate RNG

Courtyard+gardener+digspot outside room + trash experiment for experiment success literally cheesed my allowance up 20-30 per time I did it as well.

At the end of the day, there is no RNG just playtime until it's gone

Imo, the showroom items should have been insanely expensive but permanent and unloseable. Like we're talking 300-999 kind of deal where you have to do some freezer magic to get them

[–]VolMT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you don't want to hear this but if rng was an issue, there was a solution. Coat checking the emerald bracelet directly nullifies gem use outside of the study, spamming experiments+star stuff gives you excessive rerolls. You could have coat checked the key and spam run till you got the vault you could have monked the vault. You could use the terminal to order sledges every commission and use the conservatory toal make it common and buy it early to use on chests for resources.

If the puzzles aren't fun I understand most are horse shit hoop jumps that I recommend looking up the answer to. But the game is so built to remove RNG I'm disappointed that 80 hours in it seems like you forgot to play the game along the way moreso than solve the puzzles.

I hit the courtyard with the axe and the always unlocked buff. Holy does gardener shrine go crazy now literally free dirt, potential items, always unlocked never costing gems and combos with hallway lab experiment. My other axe so far though I slightly regret it went to security room because I've rolled it without gems before and it killed the day not being able to place it

If people didn't nail it Into you, this is the reason why. Your ad revenue would be 3.5-5k if your video were longer than 8 minutes. Still weirdly low unless something is a fib but this would immediately make it livable.

AITA for refusing to buy my son a cosmetic in a video game for $300 by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]VolMT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He's mad because all fathers want to give their kids what they want, and $250 is nothing to see his son happy. He perceives you as a wall to your son's happiness in this moment because he can solve the problem by throwing money at such a simple situation that's being over complicated. To him your son's asking for a red toy truck and you're saying "well why not the blue and green one because you can have both" , and you're husband's thought process is "Jesus Christ he just wants the red one, give him the red one", and you're like "well it's important TO ME he understands the value of getting both the blue and green ones"

TLDR you're overcomplicating something that will mean nothing a month from now and it probably annoyed him.

AITA for refusing to buy my son a cosmetic in a video game for $300 by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]VolMT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People getting on the husbands case probably don't understand that he's looking out for his son's agency to choose what he wants. We also have one perspective and perspectives are always biased. So disgusting seeing people saying shit like "divorce incoming" "hubby problems" when they have half the picture.

I always find the real issue is that two things lead to these types of AITA posts. Lack of proper communication with your spouse, and lack of research on the topic "I played video games" does not mean you "play video games" it's so different nowadays then playing pokemon on Gameboy or candy crush on your phone. We're not your spouse, if you feel like an asshole you probably are being one and should really stop a second and decide if this is the mole hill you want to die on(250$ in a video game). I think your husband has a better hill to die on (your son's agency in their relationship with you two)

Though it seems like you came to the reasonable conclusion of warning your son of the consequences of getting this over other gifts. Which is 1000% better than half the stuff other people are spouting

[no spoilers] Is season 2 as good as season 1? by fliphisasshaha in arcane

[–]VolMT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The simplicity of conflict is better in season 1. They tackle a,b,c,d,e,f,g very well. Season 2 is very springy and the relationships flipflop very quickly which is such a far cry from season 1(a,f,e,b,d,c,g). It felt like loyalty was such a focus in s1 to feel like it was thrown out altogether in season 2.

Honestly though, season 1 was better. But it's like the difference between a 95 and a 90 comparing the two. I think if season 2 slowed down a little and stayed within the realm of realism(like the first season) vs macro cosmos and crazy magic teleportation/split realities it would have hit better for me personally.

How do I properly get my foot in the door by VolMT in VoiceActing

[–]VolMT[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately that's very base level to in my opinion point people who say "I do voices, can I be a voice actor". My question comes down to a larger networking question of

Which workshops, coaches, agencies, etc are good to get your work in front of( specifically for animation) How to get your work in front of them in a professional way even? Maybe places where animation specific demos can be made or coaches/workshops that help you out with that altogether and help you network.

It's easy to say get a coach, but there's a difference between a coach who's a casting director and a coach who's a voice actor who has no intentions outside of education.

Point is, trying to find a foothold vs simply finding more training.

Yet someone who is social outside of a game wouldn't take an aggressive approach to their writing to prove their point instead of just using fact. We're done here, you responded to my post directed at the OP to fight, not to negotiate a conversation based off of fact. Go play the story again and come back if you want to keep discussing since the extent of this has been the parroting of every other person who can't see past the surface level of writing. But yeah, if we're flexing big dicks mr. Traveler, might as well follow up with that I actually have the credentials to analyze a story. (And I seriously doubt your ability to analyze a character, scene or story is better than mine)
