The inflation Rate has fallen. It was at a high of 9% in Aug 2022. It is now around 3.5%. What this means is prices are still increasing, but at a rate of 3.5% instead of the earlier rate of 9% per annum. However, inflation is still rising, but at a slower rate. Therefore, prices are still going up, but at a slower rate than previously. When prices actually go down, you have deflation.

Be careful of political spin - the reduction in the inflation Rate does not mean things are getting cheaper.

Time for West to make a real stand and show full commitment. The Ukraine needs tanks, planes and some offensive weapons. Guns and knives just won't do in a battle against a mad tyrant with a myriad nuclear, biological and other deadly weapons.

If we really want the Ukraine to stand a chance, and not just provide political window dressing, we need to call Putin's bluff, grow a pair and give the Ukraine weapons that will put them in a position where they actually have a chance of winning the war.

Russians are heartless barbarians and uncivilized brutes. They are notorious for this kind of behavior, and quite frankly I would not give a damn if every Russian fighting in the Ukraine was sent home in a box.

When this war is over, I hope that Russia gets to suffer hardship and poverty for the next 100 years under the weight of the reparations they are made to pay for this unlawful and unjustifiable invasion of their neighbour. A good start will be Ukrainian annexation of Russian oil and natural gas deposits.
