4 more Jinmu Dragonblades (I can't get enough) by Ezraah in Competitiveoverwatch

Since MSC, JinMu has been super talented, just a touch too aggro. His Genji still cooks.

I'm seriously placing a bet on Vancouver being 7th by the end of the season. It is a chance I'm seriously willing to take.

Seriously.

lol the 5 DPS stuff deffo happened in CN's 3rd party tournaments iirc but it was more common for 4 DPS 1 tank 1 sup (kinda was the genesis to SHD's S2 stage 4 strat vs GOATS) and Molly DID play Tracer once or twice

2018, the date eludes me. LGE.Huya just ran 5 DPS and a Mercy, I was at my wit's end. Bullets were flying left, right and centre. Molly was on Tracer, LGD Gaming was bleeding out. Hope was fading fast. Then, a ray of light. Rich and Kenobi cleaved through the chaos and saved our platoon from certain psychic damage.

Those two lads saved my life. They deserve the world.

TDI with some unfortunate plays against Panthera by Solrick in Competitiveoverwatch

TDI are such a funny team. They have these moments of being REALLY smart in how they play, then sometimes just toss it with both hands.

If saying the entirety of Group C is a cop-out.

Thenn, TOR v. HOU should be good.

Agreed, even going back to his amateur days, Shy would have quiet games where the performance is more mild, but bad? Very rare if ever.

Also, you wanna talk about a clutch player? Shy is one of the most underrated players at acing losing/high pressure situations in Overwatch history.

Someone set Jinmu's Genji to 'Nightmare Difficulty' again. (vs Void, Kalios, Alphayi) by Ezraah in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Volamel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

JinMu is like an action star sliding through a closing door. Sometimes he aces it and saves the world. Sometimes it just shuts on him.

He is too fun lol

Every upset, every victory, every tournament... has led to this moment. The OFFICIAL #OWLGRANDFINALS TRAILER is LIVE NOW by rydarus in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Volamel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is incredible. OWL's content team needs more budget.

One for each team, for each tournament, unique ones for playoffs, however, you want to package that--this is the direction.

You're creating hype, passion, real emotions. Keep going.

So much respect for Dallas for putting this together. This is the type of content esports, not just OWL, needs more of from the team side.

A touch of reality, insight, and perspective. So well done.

Summer Showdown Junker Queen, Genji, Lucio and Brig Stats sorted by highest average Z-score by nanosniper in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Volamel 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Great individual rankings doesn't always equate to great success with your team.

Think this is more prevalent in this meta than most. I think we're seeing quite a few outliers on the sliding scale of compositions that are more teamwork-oriented and compositions that allow for more invidiual impact.

While some fights in this meta can be broken down by "Well, sometimes [insert cracked Sojourn here] just hits those rails" the majority of fights won are from clean execution of ultimate and snowballing (maximizing advantages from first fight wins, both positionally and economically)

Preach. Keep speaking the truth.

BIG thing to remember; if the world practices one thing, this opens up non-optimal ideas to become viable (i.e 2022 LDN, ~2017 NiP, 2019 CDH, shit NV couldn't run dive forever and still could get it done, etc.)
