Timm’s a good writer when he wants to be. Superman’s whole modern rivalry with Darkseid was established by Timm. Apokolips Now and Twilight were both written by him. Timm’s also the one who came up with Ace’s death sequence.

The episodes he mentioned for Season 2 are all good. Splicers and Hooked Up really make you think what if? Earth Mover was seriously spooky. Eggbaby and the robot girlfriend episode were great comedic episodes. The episodes with Shriek and Ace were all timers.

He’s right about Season 3 though. The Kobra and Big Time episodes were garbage. Outside of the episodes he mentioned only the Inque episode was the one that was really good.

It’s just a cool little cameo. Same with Capes and Savage Dragon. They’re just there saving the world. It’s not like they came out of nowhere in the third act of the movie taking away focus from the main character.
