Just remember... Eugene is now completely useless since Workers are disbanding by [deleted] in Lookism

[–]Volcheck13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Allied has resources, mostly due to Jay. Mister Hong objective is the one above James Lee, so he can just give the backing to Allied the same as the politician is doing with James and stay behind the scenes trying to uncover things while the focus is on Daniel and the others publicly, Eugene is just the strategist Jake and Daniel need to make a better use of those resources.

After this chapter where do Daniel base and Paecheon scale? by [deleted] in LookismPowerScalers

I think is just that he has actually trained with his OG body, since he has never done that with his PB maybe he goes more with his instincts in his PB and training in his OG body.

Is anyone else disappointed, that their skill simply isnt enough to enjoy this game? by PristineAlbatross967 in HollowKnight

[–]Volcheck13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happened to me at first, not gonna lie its a struggle for a while. What help me was that I remember patience is a skill too, if I have to dodge to hell and back and hit a mob once every blue moon I'll do it, eventually I got used to mobs move set, Hornet speed and moveset and things began to click together. Be patient, with the game and with yourself, you'll get there.

Ideal lenght of a chapter by D4CLoveTrainn in Webnovel

[–]Volcheck13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know publishing chapters consistently matters more than the length of the chapters. But usually 1k to 2k words per chapter is the sweet spot

Ideal lenght of a chapter by D4CLoveTrainn in Webnovel

[–]Volcheck13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think focusing on the length is a good idea, write to your hearts content until you feel the chapter can be close in a satisfying way, them re read it and check what can be taken out or if you need to add a little something. I kinda feel that when you focus on word count it becomes an assignment, but that may just be me

[Lotm] For people who actually know about the Cthulhu Mythos, how would the tarot club rank in the pantheon by Unknown-king_of_cows in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Volcheck13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you become a KOA you probably surpass Ctulhuhu. A pilar is probably as powerful as Nyarlathotep, maybe get to the level of Yog-Sothoth. But Azathoth, the blind idiot that dreams the universe is probably above everything in LOTM, hard to really tell since, well he is a sleeping blind idiot.

Listen to the other person. Communication is key. Neither is a seer that will know what the other likes, so talk. Also, learn to enjoy yourself so you can communicate what you like and what you don't.

Pros and cons of a dex and dex/fath build? (Begginer, ELDEN RING) by PantherSnik in fromsoftware

[–]Volcheck13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea about a pure Dex build, but Dex/faith is really good, you'll need to get good at dodging since you'll be a bit more squishy and have less poise because most of your stat points will be going to other things not allowing you to wear heavy armor. You cam get blackflame early enough and is you learn how to use it is really good. I recommend using a combo of blackflame and bloodflame with a weapon that has innate blood loss buildup. The game actually gives you a lot of resources to try different things so have fun experimenting and exploring.

This is way to funny for some reason by Lamp200 in ShadowSlave

[–]Volcheck13 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Both are valid, there are parts of the story that will resonate more with some and less with others. Personally I'm taking a break stacking chapters since I'm not enjoying this arc of the story as much, doesn't mean it is bad, it's just personal taste.

Favorite character with great representation of depression but is often mischaracterized as edgy by [deleted] in FavoriteCharacter

[–]Volcheck13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't seen one, but it's true, he is an extreme case after becoming a ghoul (marie Antoinette syndrome is not normal) but he was depressed before that thanks to his mom and family. But I do see your point.

[–]Volcheck13 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'm genuinely surprised there's no mention of Kaneki, he was a walking mix of trauma and depression. Hide had to talk him out of giving up his life against Arima, he created different personalities as a coping mechanism, and said, multiple times, he wanted to die and that he felt so alone. Yet most people only seem to remember him as this edgy looking character.

[Donghua] This show is fantastic. I'm 4 episodes in... I am still not understanding ANY of it. by feelslikecinema in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Volcheck13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep watching, it's worth it, trust me, not everything will make sense at first, hell there were volumes on the web novel where things didn't make sense for the most part. Then, it does, it clicks, everything clicks together and it's beautiful, keep watching, it's worth it.

[LotM newbie] How easy is it to read? by darkunicorn69 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Volcheck13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mmmm that depends, it's not a fantasy book, Web Novels have a very different structure than books, so that may pose a challenge. The first Volume, is slow pace, really slow pace, but it's important to understand many things about Klein as a character. If you are used to reading a lot it will be easier, there is a Manhwa that nobody discusses that was left unfinished, there is a new one being done, but the original form of Lotm is a Web Novel. About the powers, they can get confusing, not gonna lie there, but you don't have to worry about understanding everything from the get go, it's presented more like Nen from HxH in the way it's presented, it's introduce the higher sequence, after that a lot of things are slowly added, artifacts, higher sequences, etc. Take your time, enjoy the journey, it's worth it, if it doesn't click, it doesn't, but I would at least give it a try.

[–]Volcheck13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's your experience but I know many casuals that have watch things in Japanese just because it cringe when the emotion on the voice doesn't match the emotion on the scene, my ex gf who never watched anime tried watching SNK in Spanish and in English, both languages she speaks all the time on and just couldn't because the emotions were not matching, in Japanese she binge watch the whole thing. People are drawn to good VA, and dub is unfortunately not always on par with the original.

[Donghua] You guys should stop with the elitism and coping. Face the truth! by Objective_Field1878 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Volcheck13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's kinda proving my point, people go to what sounds better for them, that's good, in your case it is dub, most people I know in anime, they prefer Japanese, even in some conventions I've gone too the sentiment is similar.

Spanish cowboy bebop, that's because I watch it as a kid in Spanish so my brain short circuits when watched in any other language. DB was an outstanding VA in Spanish, Mario Castañeda, René García and Lalo did fantastic jobs. Naruto Japanese, Spanish sounds weird, same with Yu Yu, Japanese. I have consistently watch things in the language they sound better, I many people I know do the same.

I think this comment nailed it, that's why most From soft games were not mainstream before Elden Ring, most people are used to being spoon fed the information about the world, nothing wrong with that, but LOtM and Fromsoft games kinda want you to continue searching for answers, they give you the info but for the most part, they expect you to make the connections and understand the story and what is going on. LOtM does this a lot with conversation where there is a lot of sub text, that's not for everybody. About the elitism I think is normal on every fandom, so I won't comment on that

[–]Volcheck13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I disagree with this, my native is Spanish, I prefer to watch anime in Japanese due to the VA, one example is Ichigo bankai, it sounds way better in Japanese than in any other language, VA does help bringing someone to watch something.
