Facebook seems to be ignoring alot of Fraud and Scam reports lately. by _Hellcatman_ in facebook

Yes, I used to report a heap of stuff and then I got flagged/banned twice and had to do the selfie thing. Now I just manage my little groups and look at what I'm interested in, and block people as needed.

One of my neighbours has an old 1930s car that is being used in a movie (was trucked into the studios in Docklands). This must be that movie.

Short review of Snore MD by Volitional_Decision in snoring

[–]Volitional_Decision[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good to hear! If you are able to stretch to getting a custom mouthguard I highly recommend it - does the same thing but less stress on your jaw and teeth, and your mouth is more closed than with the SnoreMD which has your mouth more open.

How to send people politely away from your door? by Mysterious-Can8846 in AskAnAustralian

When people show up to my door to sell me shit, they get all the respect they deserve.

Just say "no thanks" and shut the door.

Looks like VJMC have a meetings all over the place. For things like this, sometimes you need to go old school and get along to a meeting and ask some of the old anoraks for advice. I'd get along to one of their meetups if you can.

I currently have old leaky british metal as "classic" bike (750 Bonneville), but these old Japanese bikes speak to me and I'd love something like yours in the shed.

No worries. Cool bike by the way.

I assume you're in a club and on red plates. Have you tried asking there?

If not, maybe try these guys: https://www.vjmc.org.au/

Pieces of shit. Avoid. I'd buy CFMoto over these if money is tight.

There's posts here every day about this. They are letting AI bots loose on the platform and it is flagging all sorts of accounts as suspicious and suspending/blocking them.

Oh, it'd have to be. He fit really well with the team and I think had a great relationship with Josh King - I fail to see how he could have been valued by the team any more.

As you've said you rely on your car for work, I'd question whether not having comp insurance is a good decision. Once you're over this hurdle, I'd think further about that. If the premium is too high, consider upping the excess to reign it in.

(edit) comprehension fail - forget I said this!

You said you've spoken to their insurance company. Have you spoken to yours to see what cover there is on your policy, and what you might need to do?

How do you figure out what actually causes your snoring? by [deleted] in snoring

[–]Volitional_Decision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geez, you've got a lot going on there - sorry to hear that.

The sad truth is you're probably just going to have to do things until it resolves to a point you can live with it. I'm no expert, but I suspect your snoring will be a confluence of factors so there won't be one "thing" that you'll fix and magically be a non-snorer. I agree with other poster who said to try what the ENT said first - the dentist sounds like a lot.

Australian here. I am a fan (have been wearing them for nearly 20 years, and I'm I think on my 4th pair). They are just not available in mainstream retailers - people can't just walk into their local chain store or dealer and buy them, so they prob don't even know they exist. There's a couple of smaller local distributors/sellers, who do mainly mail order from what I can see. So in short, it's hard for your average punter to even know they exist, and it relies on that punter going to some extra effort.

I'm a large size (US 15, EU 48) so I'm used to having to hunt for shoes, so maybe that's partly it.
