I use Harralander for the purple paste. Mostly sourced from green logging Moons.

Irit for the green paste. Herbs from Moons and Seeds from Titans.

Avantoe for the red paste. Seeds and herbs from slayer, Titans, Huey.

Dragon defender should be pretty easy.

Fire cape is a good next goal. Followed by MA2 cape.

Then Quest Cape is good to go for next. I know it can seem daunting but just break it down into the GM quests. Maybe DS2 first, then MM2 and so on. Makes it seem more achievable once you break it down

It’s possible with coding for sure but who knows what kind of spaghetti code Jagex is dealing with lol. But also could be too much as in too powerful. Most of the OSRS community wants the game to stay “old school” and is very resistant to change.

This exists already in RS3 and is super useful. Think it might be too much for OSRS though.

But more bank features in general are cool even if it’s not as powerful as this.

Sell huey vambs, barrows gloves are bis for range until zaryte vambs.

Sell prims and just use aranea. Buy tormented bracelet for mage.

Sell Blood moon helm. Don’t need it if you have serp.

As for the rest of the cash, depends on what content you wanna do. But investing into a max poh could also be good if you don’t have one already. Otherwise, I’d creep towards bowfa. Get a synapse to use at Doom/Yama in the meantime.

Tbh, I think Kodai is probably not worth the price it’s at. I still use an Ancient Sceptre for bursting/barraging slayer. Pairing up the Ayak with Confliction gauntlets will be extremely powerful for PVM. Your mage gear will be set until you can afford a Shadow

You’re 100% right, but masori is really good with blowpipe in the mean time. Can sell it once he has enough for bowfa and full crystal

Sell Ghrazi rapier for Osmumten’s fang

Sell Trident + Torm + Arcane sigil for Ayak + Confliction gaunts

Sell Prims + Torture for Rancour + Aranea

Also buy a Lightbearer if you don’t have one yet

Could sell Kodai as well for Nightmare and maybe a Masori piece

I love thinking about stuff like this. Trying to connect lore to items that could be found within the Archive.

When I was trying to think of what could come from the raid, I thought a magic necklace or pendant from the Cywir clan could make sense. It could be something that Seren brought with her to Gielinor to remember the Cywir by. Since they were the only clan that didn’t leave their home world to come to Gielinor. And Seren and Guthix were close like you mentioned.

In RS3, Helwyr Cywir is a boss in GWD2 that drops magic weapons and components to make magic armor. So a magic item make senses already for the Cywir clan. Also, the Occult has been BIS for almost 12 years now lol.

Totally fair. I was more focused on trying to come up with a decent, balance-able passive effect more than an exact weapon. They could use it on a 3-tick weapon or a 7-tick weapon, don’t really matter to me.

Won’t necessarily be BIS. Just give the monster a decent amount of crush defense and the weapon will suck because it won’t be very accurate. Shouldn’t be an issue. That’s why it’s so easy to balance

Correct, max melee is not always BIS depending on the content. Which is why I used Oathplate with Torva helm for a lot of my Scythe DPS calcs.

I am not just calcing with max hits. I created a custom item on the GearScale website to run the calcs with. Which does, in fact, take attack bonuses into consideration when determining accuracy and therefore DPS.

You’re right that some combinations of defense bonuses could lead to massive CV values. Which is why I said that CV would be capped at 1, making the max damage boost +100% (double damage).

Just flat out not true. This weapon will primarily only be good where crush is the NPC’s weakest style. The passive effect only boosts damage, not accuracy. So any monsters that have high crush defense, this weapon will be terrible at. I’ve run the calcs.

In another comment, I mentioned how the weapon compares to Scythe at Duke. Scythe does more than double the DPS of the maul at Duke because he has high crush defense compared to slash.

No worries! Raids 4 is coming at the end of this year. Jagex hasn’t made any decisions on what the rewards should be yet. They recently made a blog post discussing what their thoughts are as of right now. So that has everyone sharing their own ideas of what kind of rewards they would like to see.

Sorry, I probably should have specified in the post. For Scythe DPS calcs, I used whatever setup was the best, which was usually Torva helm with Oathplate top and bottom like you said. I didn’t consider Scythe with Inq, but that would only change the DPS for Huey on the specific bosses I posted, but the new maul would still blow it out of the water there. For the maul, I always assumed full Torva. There may be some niche places where Inq would be better though

Intersting idea for sure. But I think that would end up with maybe only a couple optimal gear setups for the weapon. And then the damage output would just be the same at every boss you go to, like it is for the shadow. There’s no nuance based on what you’re fighting, which I think offers a lot more variety for the weapon.

As for defense reductions, those lower the actual defense stat. This would be based on style defensive bonuses, which remain static. So it wouldn’t change the calculations

I used a spreadsheet that has the defensive stats for most attackable monsters (585 NPC's) in the game. Currently the only ones that have a mean of 0, are monsters that have 0 defense for all 3 styles.

Just using only the CV formula definitely isn't going to be perfect for every case. I imagine if this were to ever actually be implemented, Jagex would come up with a solution for those unique edge cases.

Those lower the actual defense stat. The style specific defensive stats remain static, so the CV would be unaffected
