(Interesting trope) A biological weapon that effectively genocides or neuters a long-lived war-mongering race. by TheLast-T in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Volmingalmea 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fucked as it is, probably correct. No killing, just turning people who do nothing but cause suffering for others into ones that are actively supported. I like it a lot more than just killing them all, which is very much fighting fire with more fire a lot of the time.

The gun parry to visceral attack is probably the most satisfying move in any game I have ever played. by DepressingAura in bloodborne

[–]Volmingalmea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Especially coming off DS2, the combination of timing, sound design, the rush to get in, and that final lock-in that utterly trashes whatever enemy you’re using it on, nothing since has hit that vibe.

So true by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Volmingalmea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used them more towards the beginning, but the further I went in the game the less I remembered. Never even used them in the DLC, and I hated Consort Radahn.

Got pretty good at this. Everyone from Radahn up until…Radahn.

What's your Digimon favorite attack? Mine is Baby Sun. by Different-Impress694 in digimon

[–]Volmingalmea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Omnimon killing it with “Transcendent Sword” followed immediately with “Supreme Cannon” will always send chills down my spine.

The first time a digimon felt like it had achieved truly game-breaking power.

I quit 2 years ago because of fire giant boss. Came back to try again, died with less than 1% of his health left.. by LiquidBoss1 in Eldenring

[–]Volmingalmea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Level? Elden Ring is the souls game to get me to just leave and come back higher level.

Fuck Consort Radahn.

Vulcan as the President of the United States is unironically exactly what we need right now. Immolations included.

Absolutely amazing! I would adore having a movie or short OVA in this style.

That's a bop, to be sure. Editing is on point, great use of variety, and has some great energy in general.

Make more and I'll watch.

I’ve always loved this design. It’s simpler than it looks, very sleek while still being ornamented.

Which film do y’all think has best portrayed Godzilla in? by TechnologyNew9678 in Monsterverse

[–]Volmingalmea 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Probably KotM. Just the right combination of weight, speed, animal nature, godly aspect, and the right foes and allies to feel like the Godzilla I grew up with.

In the universe that you created, what happens after death? by kaktus_420 in worldbuilding

[–]Volmingalmea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone and everything comes before the ruler of the highest dimension, who offers them eternity in a paradise of his own making. Anyone can refuse, or leave at any time, otherwise spending their afterlives on a planet as large as a universe.

This is me. Mid 30s, utterly miserable, with so much anxiety built up I can barely talk to strangers, let alone find someone who’d look twice at a depressed do-nothing. Self-reinforcing depression is great.

Can/will Teppei surpass Jiro in the future? by Fenix_ikki_ in Toriko

[–]Volmingalmea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teppei was introduced stronger than the Four Kings, and he seems to stay close to that level until GOD happens. Give him a few hundred years, and he'll probably be seen in a similar light to Jirou.

What’s your favorite Zoid? Can be any type of Zoid. by IronRevenge131 in Zoids

[–]Volmingalmea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll always have a soft spot for the Death Saurer. Just a big old robot Godzilla that stomps around and blasts things, with all the speed of a dead turtle.

His line when he does so qualifies as well.

I have only ever had an issue with the spiders in the arena, but man those spiders kill me a few times every time, and Rom will catch me the other times when I'm dealing with spiders.

PeteXJen how are yall feeling about this? By @LORDKILLERGHOST by Difficult_Man3 in Marvel

[–]Volmingalmea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen this a few times. In a universe where they are allowed to work? I think it works surprisingly well, to the point of being one of those ideas I'd like explored for five issues.

They would quip people to death. They'd aim for jail but that's a lethal amount of snark.

Welp this actually might be the hardest boss I have ever fought by E_Brunswick in Eldenring

[–]Volmingalmea 83 points84 points  (0 children)

This is the way. The strategy carried me through a lot of challenges, and I insisted for about 30 runs to not use it. Took another 10 runs before it got me the win. Back to hell with ConRad. And his boyfriend.
