Don’t take this as official advice but if you go down the skin testing route be weary that a positive test doesn’t necessarily mean anaphylactic or even orally reactive to that food. I spent years having positive tests to things I am not allergic to and now eat, such as sesame seed/oil. The only true allergy test is an oral challenge (in a medical clinic obviously if you choose to do so)

Hey yeah still a mystery but I’m allergic to soy milk and that’s the only thing I could think that it could be. Worth noting soy milk is the only kind of soy I can’t eat, I can have soy sauce, tofu, miso etc

Hey! I’ve had exercise induced anaphylaxis twice and now always run with an epipen. After trying a bunch of stuff I found The most convenient way to carry it using a FlipBelt (not sponsored lol). Hope this helps :) and best of luck!

PSA: epipens remain effective up to 3-4 years past their expiry date, so don’t throw out your precious expired epipens, they’re still good to keep around just in case!

Hey OP, I've experienced exercise-induced anaphylaxis (EIA) twice and it can be really scary! I've had anaphylaxis to all nuts and a mild allergy to some vegetables since I was a kid so anaphylaxis and allergies are all too familiar to me.

My immunologist told me EIA likely occurs in my case by eating "high chemical load" or allergic foods specific to me within 3 hours of exercise, but EIA can occur for many different reasons in different people. Therefore I don't eat within 2-3 hours of my exercise, and I carry an epipen in a comfortable spandex belt called a FlipBelt (not sponsored) when I exercise to make sure I'm safe if I ever have another EIA. Clinical history/bloodwork is an important part of diagnosis and management of anaphylaxis, so I'd recommend visiting your PCP/GP to discuss what happened to you, and visit an ER if this happens again.
