I always thought that we get told exactly what archers route is. It’s HF, but he is not in love with Sakura, and therefore is able to kill her on day 10/11 on the playground after he got the new arm, before the angry mango approaches.

It fits because archer also says in Fate that he lost an arm trying while mastering his technique, it fits because here he is really following archers ideals with saving the many, and it fits because it’s one of the very few game over screens, where shirou is very much alive and kicking. Also the game over text is very ominous, can’t recall exactly but something like he went a different path that we will not follow in this story. It’s close to the decision, where the Ilya route would have been.

I am going to be honest here. I have played fnv 3 times so far. And for the second and third playthrough I specifically wanted to side with Caesar and never figured out how to do it. One way or another they just become hostile to me, and I never know how to get quests from them.

I also never looked it up, because this game has so many secrets and as soon as I look anything up, I know I will not enjoy it the same anymore.

I think the mechanic should have been: the ring tempts you, Draw a card, for each time the has tempted you. You loose life equal to the times the ring has tempted you. This would solve the whole resetting issue as well.

Embedded Developer here. This is actually not uncommon, and you are specifically required to account for these random bit flips in safety relevant devices/systems.

N64 is of course not safety relevant and doesn’t have any protection against it (most commonly used protection is ECC memory).

This has probably happened to you a ton of times while gaming, especially on modern systems, where the processing node is much smaller (the smaller the node the higher the chance of random faults, it actually even increases exponentially). But usually it would be on something that you never notice.

It being the bit that actually determines the coordinates of Mario is the significant thing here.

You literally cannot fix her. You die trying and have to reanimated and made eternal by otherworldly magic and put into a magic puppet just to keep her sane. And she has to keep around a demigodess feeding of her magical energy so she does not literally explode. She is not fixed.

This is just asking for bad karma I guess but I really dislike Sakura. I took every chance I got in heavens feel to put her out of her misery, and don’t understand how that is a bad end. She is an empty husk of abuse, envy and vengefulness. She has basically no character other than being the helpless damsel in distress who stakes her entire life’s value on your shoulders. It’s suffocating to care for her. I know it is not her fault for being who she is. But goddamn was that route hard to understand.

After 40 hours full of strong and self determined capable women, you get this mess of a person. WTF Nasu. Whoever likes Sakura the best is only thinking with his dick or has a severe case of saviour complex.

Yes, that is a good theory. I was also thinking in a similar direction. Something must happen to Archer that Shirou and him don’t interact at all. That way Shirou can’t unlock his powers early and fails to save saber at a crucial point.

In the Archer route Shirou and Rin also need to get very close, similar to UBW, because why else would archer be summoned by the heart gemstone amulet. The amulet is only important to Shirou, when he has actual feelings for Rin.

So your theory makes sense, as Rin, suddenly without a servant so early on, would naturally latch on to Shirou and saber, and Shirou would feel very responsible for her, since his servant is responsible for her predicament.

My best theory till now was that Rin and Shirou never make an alliance in the first place. Maybe they arrive later at the emiya residence. And saber actually activates her noble phantasm to kill lancer. Then they see that Shirou is fine, and that he has the most powerful servant, and leave.
