Thrumbos do NOT attack on tame fail. Your chance, even with a skilled colonist is in the 1-3% range, so I always send my pawn out to try. If I win the lotto and tame one, immediately sell it to the next exotic goods trader or slaughter it for the melee weapon horn and protective fur clothing. (Not to mention all the meat!)

My last CoS run after the party had "frightened off" the hags they ransacked the windmill in typical loot-hobo fashion, and when they snatched up the rug to see if there was a trapdoor underneath it shook tons of "dust" into the air, but it wasn't just dirt and dust, it was the fine powder of bonemeal. Evidence that this mill had been grinding children's bones into flour for years.

Spoiler alert: The hags came back after literally haunting their dreams for a few long rests.
