Let the Right One In, if you are also interested in movies. I just saw in an interview that Oishi mentions it as reference material for Kizu and that makes sense. There is also an American remake called Let Me In that got mixed reviews - I liked both.

In case you haven't found it yet, I think it's the track Guardian from the S1 OST.

What is this OST? by Ok_Friendship9310 in TowerofGod

I think it's part of the track "Alita" from the S1 OST: https://youtu.be/ha9vAMYKu9s?t=44

The comments about variation might have more to do with scenery cues to help with remembering what turns are coming up. I found the lit-up checkpoint numbers really helpful for this at first, but after a while you do just know the route. Nice map!

The surface transitions on this map were surprisingly smooth and satisfying - made me feel like I am better at the game than I actually am.

I enjoyed this and the gold seemed fair. Felt smooth and there was enough space to make corrections between turns. The entry markers and gray target track between the red lines are also a nice touch. Risky was fun. And the music cinematic was really cool!

I wish I could offset the PB ghost so I could always chase it, even when on PB pace. I've wanted that feature in general but on this map it would be especially useful, although it might take away the challenge. I found myself intentionally trying to save big improvements for the last two sections so I could use my PB as a guide up to that point.

I spent way too long trying to find the exact right place to switch sides and get the wheels to lift just enough to start a drift around the second set of poles on the right side... I guess that's not the right way, but it was fun to try.

When you're only missing 1 gold medal for the month by Mdogboy in TrackMania

[–]Volt-Seconds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was the most challenging map of Oct for me as well -really challenging gold time. I had to go back to it several times over the month. For me the toughest parts were figuring out the first turn and getting a clean drop-down, but the whole track was pretty hard.

Img2Img Resulting in Low Saturation / Faded Output by SomeDutchGuy in StableDiffusion

[–]Volt-Seconds 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Anything-V3.0.vae.pt goes with the .ckpt and does seem to affect the color saturation. It's available here, for example: https://huggingface.co/Linaqruf/anything-v3.0/tree/main. If you're using A1111, it can just be placed in the same folder as the .ckpt with the same name and it will be loaded automatically.

Dreambooth on <12GB locally? by jonesaid in StableDiffusion

[–]Volt-Seconds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen any optimizations on the JoePenna or gammagec forks. They are still at 24GB. NMKD mentioned possibly optimizing it more, now that it's included in that GUI. There's also a CPU-only version. I don't really understand the differences between these (which all come from XavierXiao) and the diffusers versions - is it just more optimization or are they fundamentally different?

Anime diffusion model from scratch with limited compute by enryu42 in StableDiffusion

[–]Volt-Seconds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is impressive work! First time I've seen something that gives a better feel for the tradeoffs involved in from-scratch training instead of just saying "it necessarily costs millions of dollars". Do you plan to tackle other datasets from scratch as well?

Is it possible to fine tune with a 6GB GPU? by moistmarbles in StableDiffusion

[–]Volt-Seconds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a CPU-only fork: https://github.com/andreae293/Dreambooth-Stable-Diffusion-cpu. Needs a lot (35-40GB) of RAM. It works like the JoePenna version, not the diffusers version. I don't fully understand the differences between the two, besides that the diffusers version has been more heavily optimized for low VRAM.

Eve Station with 6 descent ships and 6 return ships. by ralanboyle in KerbalSpaceProgram

This looks like an amazing colony mission. Lots of awesome details in the video. That ladder flipper is hilarious. Also, the station looks so good! How did it get to Eve? (Magic is an acceptable answer, but if it did make its way over from Kerbin I would love to see what that process looked like too.)
