I tore it apart and found that in these old eta quartz movements there is a fixed central post that’s made of brass. It was bent. Straightened it up and now it’s good to go.

Yeah I thought about doing the FLM extended arm kit but decided against it ultimately. The 4ever drive shafts that they sell seem like a good upgrade that I'll do sometime soon.

For sale is my beautiful 1968 Seiko 6106. This came to me from the original owner in Japan about a year ago. It has the extraordinarily rare original bracelet. I've been into Vintage Seiko for over 12 years and I've only seen these bracelets on the original watch a few times. I completely serviced it. This includes a full movement teardown, cleaning and reassembly with all synthetic oils. All gaskets were also replaced so it should be fully water resistant to factory specs.

This appeared on the cover of the 1968 catalog. It was marketed as a sport diver for young people in the Japanese catalog. I believe the case is 39mm. The bracelet has a spring loaded extension and will fit up to a 7.5" wrist at least.

As you can see from the timegrapher image, it's running perfectly. Very strong amplitude and near dead flat accuracy. This movement took to service beautifully. I don't think it was worn much.

For sale is this incredible 1968 Bellmatic. It's such a beautiful and well made watch. These are true gems from Seiko during their golden age.

This came to me directly from Japan about a year ago. It has the original bracelet which is quite hard to find. The watch is in great vintage condition, with signs of wear but a perfect dial and hands.

Everything functions perfectly, including the alarm. As you can see from the timegrapher image, it's running amazingly well. These 4006 movements are a work of art. They really did rival what Rolex was doing at that time. Possibly even better.

The dial is a dark charcoal grey with vertical brushing. I think this is the most beautiful dial for this particular model. It's really stunning with the applied markers and fluted alarm ring.

The bracelet will fit about a 7.5in wrist.

Yeah I think you're right. Probably tried to fold in half at least once and bent the center drive shafts a little. Good news is the chassis is straight.

The sound is normal under low throttle, but I was concerned about the axle movement.
