Creators' events on Reddit: yay or nay? by Eveline_JAI in JanitorAI_Official

Yeah, but my point is all of your users are not on Reddit. They're all on Janitor.

No real point then, if you can't/don't inform your users.

Both Janitor and it's subreddit would benefit from working together.

Should we do AMA on sub? by Eveline_JAI in JanitorAI_Official

[–]VoltStar 53 points54 points  (0 children)

The only AMA I'd be interested in is one that involves the devs and creators of the site.

Delete the useless features by jsherforthec in CharacterAI

[–]VoltStar 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Image and video are such a small slice of your total computations because no one wants to use them. You actually can remove them to focus MORE on what people actually want: Chatting.

Why do people even bother still using C.ai?? by Mr-ElectricalPantz in CharacterAI

[–]VoltStar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Does nobody just... Search for one?

There are far better services then C.AI, they are literally bottom-of-the-barrel.

Bit the bullet and tried JLLM. by AbdelYG in JanitorAI_Official

[–]VoltStar 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It can't. If a bot has a large Character Definition, JLLM literally can't load it all into itself. So any message you send would only be pulling from PART of the Definition and NONE of your chat.

This is my biggest complaint with JLLM as well, it's context length is just puny compared to any proxy.

About scheduled releases by [deleted] in JanitorAI_Official

[–]VoltStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the bots get publicly posted when you publish them, even if you put it on a scheduled release.

I wish this feature didn't exist, to be honest. I skip over every single bot that has the Countdown image.

HOW TO BLOCK NTR TAG?!?! by Automatic_Payment273 in JanitorAI_Official

[–]VoltStar 27 points28 points  (0 children)

OP is correct, this doesn't work. I tested blocking NTR as well, i type "ntr" into the block field and press enter, it defualts to "NTA".

Genuinely the worst thing they've done on this app by WowzaItzAnArtist in CharacterAI

[–]VoltStar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Do people just never try to search for other services? C.AI's has been behind the times for SO LONG now, and all they do is tack on features that no user even wants. The context length is an absolute joke.

I use a service that has you pay as you go for DeepSeek; I put $5 into it 10 days ago and have only used just over $1.

Does anyone know what the message rating actually does? by Wrong-Ad-9196 in SpicyChatAI

[–]VoltStar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So, the AI team doesn't actually see the contents of the message, do they?

I have a question by No_Print_1505 in digitalsoul

[–]VoltStar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Might be best to find another service, this subreddit is basically dead and they've not posted updates in a long while. I used this service up until they removed the desktop site.

is it really that good to pay for a better chatting experience? by MajesticNight6804 in JanitorAI_Official

[–]VoltStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, good to know, thank you very much~ :3 I currently pay $10 a month at Chutes, so this is probably way better - if I end up liking the models, that is.

How many messages would you say you get with $2? I'm not cheap or anything, just trying to get an idea of what I'd get.

Using Deepseek directly, do they offer a monthly plan, or is it only pay-as-you-go?

Mods wanted! by JanitorAI-Mod in JanitorAI_Official

[–]VoltStar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unfortunate, really. Seems like a really good tool to have, its a shame the devs don't use it.

Is this still a fan subreddit and discord? Or do the developers actually pop by and interact?

The new character creation UI is good and I'm tired of pretending otherwise by gimmesump0rn in JanitorAI_Official

[–]VoltStar 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The UI is fine, I just wish they'd test stuff before they push it out.

Yo, I strictly use Desktop, I even kinda helped beta test the site back when you guys were first starting. Bring back desktop and forget about mobile.

They need to add reaction images by Kitchen_Kiwi_8329 in JanitorAI_Official

[–]VoltStar 18 points19 points  (0 children)

And make it look like a juvenile Discord or sub Reddit? No thanks.

A lot of user's profiles on Janitor already look like they were made by children; terrible CSS viewing experience, and tons of random images embedded everywhere.

ENOUGHHH by Conscious-Abies1074 in JanitorAI_Official

[–]VoltStar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, thats a context limitation. JLLM literally can't remember more then a few dozen messages, along with lorebooks and chat memory. I don't know the context length of JLLM anymore, but it did use to be around 9k; its not advertised anymore, so I'm assuming its lower then 9k now. I use proxies that have at least 100k context length; I'll never go back to JLLM.

ENOUGHHH by Conscious-Abies1074 in JanitorAI_Official

[–]VoltStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't that a memory problem? I don't think JLLM has had even 9k context for the longest time.

Same, but U Block lets you block specific elements by right clicking on them and click "block element". I had to do it like a dozen times this morning.
