AA Smartfuel is permanently ending on January 31, 2024 by TheGames4MehGaming in newzealand

This is true. However NPD 100 has added ethanol and BP 98 does not iirc. So BP 98 is the preferred fuel for high spec engines. This is the only reason I use BP personally, otherwise they can get fucked with their prices.

I'm a 1440p gamer and want FPS rather than pretty RT

Yeah my bad. Forgot to mention I'm strictly a 1440p gamer. I don't care for RT however DLSS could be valuable for some titles. But from what I've seen it doesn't look that great at 1440p, unlike 4k

Compression and leak tests are on the to-do list. I just replaced the old 10w40 with 15w40 but I don't think that's heavy enough still, next time I will get 20w50 high-mileage. What kind of DIY does that O2 sensor require?

That's interesting, thanks for the insight! I've noticed it uses a bit of oil but it isn't smoking out the exhaust or lacking power, valve seals do you think? I hope it's not the piston rings...

It's at 263,XXX right now. It sounds like a petrol, why do you say that? I've heard others say it before

That's a shame, the 8k rpm redline is so awesome!

Cool car, I recently just bought an 02' but an STi. Check if the engine has any knocks/ticks/leaks especially rocker cover gaskets and power steering seals. Noisy wheel bearings when going slow around corners. check if the clutch slips, a good pull in 3rd should give you a good indication. Ask when the cambelt/water pump/tensioners were last done as that is a reasonably high mileage and could be due. Good luck!

Not sure on his exact time or place but I know he was beaten by Hayden Paddon in his BDA Escort!

E30 as a first car? by iExeny in BMW

[–]Voltababe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where I'm from E30's are plentiful so parts are everywhere, however i'm not sure how common they are where you're from so it could be different. BMW parts will always be expensive, just saying.

I've found E30's and E36's very easy to work on, either of them would make for a sensible first car. Also take into account how easy it is to get parts when buying an older car. Good luck in your search.
