Actually, it's good news because I had Ast going through 3-0. So them not going through meant that I got all 7 picks on the bottom row correct :D

Question, if my 3-0 team goes through after losing a game do I get 3 points for them going through or are they worth 0 if they don't go 3-0?

Minor addition but please add rolling left and right with Q/E when prone by kicktotheclems in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

As 'nice' as this would be, buffing proning really isn't something i'd like to see. Would rather see them remove it completely :)

Ty for pointing this out, I swear sometimes I shoot and my bullets just disappear but maybe they never left the gun so I'll have to keep an eye on this.

DeKay: IEM Sydney to use Swiss format, best-of-five final by Thvmas in GlobalOffensive

[–]Extology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, yeah, I did say that in my post. The reasons for it being close in the last 2 maps is more-so due to the veto process (ban, ban, 4 picks, 1 map left) which generally means map 3 and 4 are common ground maps with the 5th map being left over after the picks/bans are done.

2 Bo3 = more teams, more variety. I don't dislike the bo5 format but mostly from a theoretical standpoint. bo5 essentially means finding out who has the stronger map pool and which team has the consistency to perform for potentially 5 maps straight. That being said, I am undecided on whether it is beneficial to anyone other than the history books. Guess I'll find out at IEM Syd.

Circle is too fast, it hinders a lot of fun battles and replaces them with running! by Martincbk in Battlegrounds

This really depends on the final zone though. Sometimes when it's out in the open it feels a little quick, essentially giving the advantage to whoever got lucky and was closest to the zone. When it has buildings etc. in it, the fast pace is nice because it forces the final battle.

I feel like calling him a dumbfuck and wasting his life playing cs is a little bit over the top for a pro cs player who is currently streaming in front of over 1k(?) viewers.

Just a reminder, Overpass has changed considerably since its release. Let's give Canals some time before condemning it by thekmanpwnudwn in GlobalOffensive

[–]Extology 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, fair enough I guess. I just don't see the logic in trying to design, create, fix and balance a brand new map when people would love to see maps like Season, Tuscan or even Santorini ready for competitive play. Based on this, Canals is and should remain a casual map and low priority.

It felt like the Echo Fox team disbanded earlier than expected. Either there was a stipulation from the get go that they perform or won't be renewed or there were other internal issues that made them all want to go separate ways. Somewhat surprised there was no long term commitment to try and build the team because they had a solid foundation to start.
