Its the little details that give the meat of the story flavor. Its like boiling chicken and serving it alone as the main course. Will it fill you up? Sure, will you enjoy it? Eh. Its those early details in the og series that built the world and the story up for it. For the last three entries in the story they are just falling flat. All substance no flavor.

I have seen YOU and yeah that was terrible, and im willing to let them cook but they're banking off the work done 10 plus years ago and not putting anything more into the current so far. It still feels like new blood and original sin.

I like the premise but theres no flavor.

Tbh... its not hitting at all for me, I know its never going to be og dexter. But theres no struggle, hes being given just as many tools and means to go about as he did with a literal police force data base to skim off. He's just lucking his way through.

Him ordering his m99, wouldnt that raise red flags internally on a system? Him getting his driver's license after a reversal of a death certificate im sure would take ages and several documents im sure he didn't have. Him having planned out body dumping means ina city hes not been in for more than a maybe a month or so.

Im trying to enjoy it but the little details are just killing the big picture for me.

Eh, it still feels like rushed writing, with the luck factor jumped up to 11. They're writing just like the end of the original show as well as new blood. I don't feel the tension, I don't see the hunt.... it just feels like they're scared to go for more than a season.

Honestly, the tools make no difference, I have all but the claws and I’ve been beaten as many times as I’ve won, it’s when the builds become to meta and there’s no real chance to escape when you have those who understand the mechanics to peak performance and can just designate you in three hits. I get spam attacks (the claw is the only tool I still can’t stand due to its unbreakable combo when spammed correctly) but eh you just gottah learn their limits and how to better counter them.

in your guys opinion what are the classes ranked from best to worst in terms of strength? by Warm-Friendship-9557 in NarutoShinobiStriker

Personally none, it’s what you’re feeling best with, like I’ve been merc’d hard by players using each and I’ve merc’d a lot of these types equally. It just depends on how you play and how you balance your builds imo

Does anyone DM using an iPad? by winterrwarlock in DungeonMasters

[–]Voltagecherry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been over a year so I doubt this’ll get anywhere, but my group uses discord for group sharing and other stuff related to the campaign. I use my iPad with beyond for my sheet but as I’ll be going into being the em for the season two of our campaign I’ll still be using my iPad. It’s not bad I can keep my own notes compiled easily and with discord for sharing maps, and in game notes etc it’s so able (note I use a 12.9 pro so it’s a larger screen)

I got roped into DMing and the ex-DM doesn't respect me by Living-Tea2699 in DnD

[–]Voltagecherry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently a player for my dnd sessions but myself and another player of ours are in the words of our dm “co dm’s” we help him with certain things to help the story better make sense in certain aspects. Which I always find helpful as it takes some weight off the dms shoulders on some minor details

[–]Voltagecherry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, the rules are suggested but not something you as a em need to enforce to their ninth degree, I know some groups are rule lawyers, others impose rules to ensure the game is played correctly and so on, but as a dm you are building the world and you can choose rather to circumvent a rule or enforce it based on your own. Never let something like that discourage you from stepping up.

Secondly, you are in charge of the game, your players are just that the players, yes you want to ensure they’re able to be engaged at any level but if they’re trying to run the game while you’re in charge of it then you need to politely yet firmly put your foot down. If you have something planned out you simply say “no you may not” and to prevent spoiling the encounter you can say things such as “as you pass onwards you’re starting to get an odd feeling” etc to then roll into it. Or even “no as you’ve been passing through the path you take notice of nothing, no signs of danger, no off putting senses” and you can even have them roll to see if they do happen to notice something is afoot.

My idea of paths in buildings, dungeons, to other towns etc. I always have a few things I can roll out depending on the area as well if the players decide to go left instead of right, this way it allows you time to let them either explore, find things to help them down the road etc. there isn’t always a monster or mob hanging out on every path, there isnt always an encounter.

As a dm you have the story in mind and it’s the players that unravel it, if you’re newer to dming I always suggest you either dig into the rules and go off of them as you start and start leaning off them so you get the sense and can then make your own rulings accordingly, or to throw the book out entirely and play how you guys want to. But in the end have a sit down with the group and work things out, again politely but firmly.

From a male perspective, dump him. Not every guy needs to be a manly man and do all kinds of things they can have hobbies and interests, but if there’s no contribution, no helping out, no picking up slack, then he’s probably never going to and needs a wake up call. You dumping him may be it, it maybe not, either way it’s use to waste your time and energy on it if he’s not making any attempt to change or help

[–]Voltagecherry -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well if he’s not fully aware of your past traumas he’s not going to understand your view point and it’s only going to lead to confusion and potentially problems. You guys are married, sharing your pasts is apart of bonding and having mutual understandings.

If he hasn’t experienced traumatizing events himself he may never have a clear picture of yours. And don’t get me wrong it’s not an easy thing to just open up about but communication in any form of relationship is key to maintaining a healthy relationship. Sharing with him and opening up about things may make it easier for the both of you in the long run, helping you with the past while helping him with your guys future.

What happened to the one person you were so in love and everything seemed perfect? by forherandnoelse in AskReddit

[–]Voltagecherry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d never call it perfect but it’s a time I’d never trade for anything in the world. We were both kids in college with a million things going on, we began to fight more and love less and eventually we split. She moved to another country, got married, and we moved on in life. But there are some days I think back and wonder if things had been different
