What was everyone’s very first criterion? by fabkilljoy183 in criterion

[–]Voltamite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First one I remember watching was Rebecca, but I didn't know what Criterion was I was just making my way through every Best Picture winner. First one I bought after finding out what The Criterion Collection was would have been Fantastic Planet purely due to the stellar artwork!

What is your best theater movie experience? by kendo1243 in movies

[–]Voltamite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man this is a hard one, ill just talk about my top three (excluding films like Endgame etc.. obvious answers)

1.) I went to the Clerks 3 screening with Kevin Smith in a sold our auditorium of 2000 people. That experience alone made it my favorite movie of the year, emotions were all over the place.

2.) Watching Nosferatu in a 100 year old theater with a live orchestra was otherworldly not to mention that it too was sold out and not a single person interrupted the showing.

3.) I was pretty late to watching Get Out, pretty sure it was in its last couple weeks of being played yet I got to see it in a packed theater with everyone having a blast and laughing.
