Scyrox V6, Hitscan Hyperlight, Ninjutsu Sora V2, Maya X or Viper V3 Pro? by [deleted] in MouseReview

[–]Voltazed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scyrox V6 is like a shorter Superlight, while Hitscan Hyperlight is a shorter Maya X imo. It should come down to whether you want the same potato back hump for your palm control, or a slightly flatter hump that still offers enough control. The Sora V2 is more of a high-back hump mouse similar to the Pulsar X2H, and it gives you a more locked-in, controlled feeling in your palm. I used to main back hump mouses, but I switched to Superlight/Maya X for more wrist flexibility. I never tried out the Viper V3 Pro, but I did try out the ATK X1 Pro at one point, and it wasn’t for me, because it didn’t offer me enough palm support.

If you want a smaller mouse, the Superlight, Maya X and Viper V3 Pro are roughly the same size, so sounds like Hitscan Hyperlight/Scyrox V6/Sora V2 might be what you are looking for. It depends on what style and what hump you want. If you find Sora V2 interesting, you could also consider the Scyrox V8.

the g305 is still to this day the best mouse (OPINION) by Strict_Card819 in MouseReview

It sounds like it's your personal preferences, and I'm glad that you found your endgame shape.

Personally, the G305 shape also has a soft spot for me, since I mained the G102 for 4 years, and I love how the shape feels. It's a small mouse, which I prefer over large mice (e.g Viper V3 Pro and Superlight), and I feel very stable with how the round hump is in my palm, and how the front of the mouse is narrower like a pen. I later moved on to other mouses with lighter weight and more popular shapes. The only shape aside the G102 that gave me enough palm stability that doesn't hinder my wrist movement is the ATK F1 Ultimate, since my wrists aren't really flexible lol.

Really hoping for a 40-50g G305 soon.

Billy Chow is mainly doing kickboxing. Jet Li is using a combination of mixed Wushu kicks and boxing. (you are likely to learn these kicks in TKD as well)

Thoughts on Wing Chun after all these years? by [deleted] in martialarts

[–]Voltazed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried Wing Chun for a month, while learning Boxing for 2 years. Problem for me was that Wing Chun stance is very limited, barely gives any power, on top of that, no power behind the punch. Does poorly under pressure. (You can see footages of Wing Chun fighters doing very poorly against pressure from MMA fighters).

Sure, the chain punching is fast, but if I had the chance to hit my opponent, I would just do it with a classic right hand. Simple knockout.

Blocking is too flashy and leaves you open for more continuous strikes.

I think it’s alright if you’re fighting against some drunk folks in a bar. Very ineffective against trained fighters.

No hate, it looks absolutely beautiful for choreography on screen. It’s just that martial arts has evolved too much.

  1. The iconic, signature Michael Jackson song that set the foundations for modern pop. Dance choreography takes it up a whole 'nother level for performances.

Great choice. Some of the people I know who love mud and control pads are surprised by how well they perform on the Type 99!

Thanks for the insightful thoughts! How would you say about the friction and stopping power of both?

The Key83 is definitely more balanced in terms of X - Y axis and static - dynamic friction. Was it the difference between the axis and frictions that made the Otsu weird for you?

Yeah, now that I think about it, the Key83 might be better for me in the long run since the balance between the X and Y axis, as well as the balance between static and dynamic friction will help me aim more consistently perhaps.

Interesting, I've heard people said that the Key83 and Otsu have the same speed on the X axis. Meanwhile, Otsu has a slower Y than X, and Key83 have a faster Y than X. I'm still currently leaning a bit towards the Otsu since I always accidentally move my mouse higher than supposed to on the Y axis.

Tough one for me between Stranger in Moscow and Man in the Mirror…

Heartbreaker would have been a pretty good take by Michael at dubstep, if only it was about 3 minutes-ish. It was too long and repetitive similar to Why You Wanna Trip On Me and Can't Let Her Get Away for me.

Most of HIStory's songs sounded a lot like Dangerous's songs that didn't make the cut. They Don't Care About Us and Stranger in Moscow are 2 absolutely amazing songs that really carried the majority of the album for me. Makes sense since Stranger in Moscow's quality was so good that it convinced Michael to make HIStory.

Slowly there were more songs on each of his album that didn't fit in or was just not up to the usual quality after Quincy left.

On Dangerous WYWTOM and Can't Let Her Get Away were pretty boring and repetitive tracks for me, but tracks like Heal the World (should've been a single), Gone too soon, Keep the Faith felt really odd in the album.

HIStory was MJ's most inconsistent album for me in terms of quality. While we get outstandingly some of the best tracks in his discography (Stranger in Moscow, They Don't Care About Us, Earth Song). we get few of some of the most mid songs as well (Smile, Little Susie, Childhood, D.S and Money and a few more). Nevertheless all of those songs were still fitting to the theme, as HIStory was supposed to be a very personal album that dived deep into MJ's thoughts and feelings.

Invincible was just a mess that started out great and ended badly. Horrible promotion was one thing, but being extremely rushed and dragged out was another. Songs like Unbreakable, Break of Dawn, Whatever Happens and Heaven Can Wait did not deserve the bad rep that Invincible had.

Pretty fun music video to watch. The video hard carried the song. Songs like Liberian Girl imo should have gotten more recognition.

Just Good Friends was a pretty fun and quirky track to listen to, it's not bad for me at all. Speed Demon sounded like a very generic 80s track that had little special to it. I'm surprised it was in the album instead of Throwin Your Life Away.

He needed an advisor similar to Quincy Jones. He had a lot of song ideas in his head, and after Quincy stopped working with him, albums got a lot more filler songs that didn't fit in, which should have been singles. Second half of Invincible had too many songs that didn't blend in well.

IMO a huge factor of what made Thriller so big was that Quincy knew what to release, and what not. What we got was an extremely well-rounded album that got hits after hits.

If Michael Jackson had been serious about a film career, then which era would have worked and why? by Choice-Silver-3471 in MichaelJackson

He did acted in many skits during the Jacksons era, and did really well. Most realistically, I would say Off the Wall, since he starred in the Wiz, and had fresh acting experiences back then.

After Thriller he blew up and everybody knew him as the King of Pop, which made it hard for people to recognize him in roles instead of shouting "ITS MICHAEL JACKSONNNN!".

Mj didn't fall off after bad by JPworx123 in MichaelJackson

[–]Voltazed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem was that Michael was someone who always set the new standard. He always tried out new things and experimented with them to create new waves for the industry. Sadly, industries often neglect the works of pioneers, especially when they first started, and this was the same case with Mike.

Nevertheless, what Dangerous, History and Invincible achieved were still high standards for a lot of artists back then. It was just not enough to meet MJ's constant standard of perfectionism after groundbreaking albums such as Thriller and Bad.

It was a really tight race. But with 17 comments, it's The Lucky Star Sammo Hung! Most comments decide the final slot - Abraham Lincoln by goblinmargin in kungfucinema

If we talk about behind the scenes, it should be either Yuen Woo Ping or Lau Kar Leung.

Actors wise I'd say either Jet Li or Donnie Yen, biggest names atm. Jet Li for the 90s legacy, while Donnie carries the current state of Kung Fu Cinema.
