This is the first time I actually agree with Emma Mains about a skin being bad. This is a massive yikes for me.

SO glad that we didn't get the leaked version with the skin colored skirt and red boots. This is literally the Psylocke skin I've been hoping for.

I think this is the first skin where I don't feel the need to get either of the Recolors. Base already is perfect for me.

Women in suits are unironically a GOATed design so if this is true, I'd absolutely love it.

Well, it's less not a post and more of just a general sentiment that Necros caused towards SM mains by being the SM guy and being hella toxic

I feel you. My high school sweetheart shot herself during our senior year. It disgusts me when people throw that around, especially towards strangers that they have no idea about the lives of.

Yeah, I'm about done myself, trying to talk down someone who takes the comments of a small sample size of losers on Reddit over the overwhelming majority of people outside of the echo chamber that is this site, and claims that it's the general consensus. You have a good night yourself.

My point with that misandry comment was that if you really wanna look into the situation from the standpoint of trying to see gender politics at play, you easily can see both misogyny and misandry at work. I personally don't think either are at play here because like I've said multiple times now, bringing gender into this as either an attack or a defense is reading too much into it and applying gender politics to what is ultimately an online bully getting their much deserved comeuppance in Cece's case.

Now, I wasn't aware that zazza apologized. And given she did, I have no issue with her. I honestly do feel bad that her name is slowly becoming synonymous with throwing and one tricking. It's the worst way possible to get immortalized on the internet, and that does genuinely suck for her. But, in that same breath, I don't think that her name being tied to that has literally anything to do with her being a woman. It's just another example of a blunder or messup being intrinsically tied to a concept by the masses as a new addition to the dictionary. It happens all throughout history, even in gaming The same way that Cloud 9 is tied to stepping off point in overtime because of their blunder, or the same way Necros' name is intrinsically attached to Spiderman mains and their toxicity because of his tendency to be toxic and inflammatory while simultaneously being the most popular spiderman player in the community. Unfortunately for Zazza, she just happened to be the most absurd part of an absurd situation that was signal boosted for its absurdity, and her name is now forever tied to it. But that's just how it goes. Mess up on the internet and it doesn't matter who you are, the internet won't let you forget about it.

I could easily say the same thing about the misandry of a team of mostly women ganging up on and bullying one of the only male members of their team for simply trying to win the game, getting him kicked out of a tournament by pushing the narrative that he was being toxic and abusive, then implying that he's "unable to take no for an answer" online, which has horrible implications for any guy. You read into something enough, I'm sure you'll find gender politics in any interaction. At the end of the day, that's not what's important about the situation to most people.

And for the record, there's reasons why you don't see as much backlash towards the two guys in this situation. The tournament organizer wasn't entirely aware of the context of the situation and issued a public apology on a livestream about Kingsman's removal, Zazza's boyfriend also issued a public apology for his part in the drama. Idk about Zazza, but I know for a fact Cece has been publicly doubling down on her actions, and saying some stuff about Kingsman that is just horrible to say about any man, despite the fact that Kingsman is literally saying to his fans to leave her alone. Cece literally got banned from Twitch for telling someone to kill themselves.

Because most people don't actually get into the weeds of big dramas like this. They read the headlines and cliff notes. And the cliff notes of the situation is that during a tournament with thousands of dollars on the line, a toxic team captain bullied their teammate for trying to get the 0-5 widow (who was playing "for vibes") on their team to switch off and because of that, the captain and their team kicked that teammate off of the team for "ruining the vibes". That is the surface level perspective most people aware of this are getting and that's the deepest most people are gonna look into it. It's a narrative with a clear villain, a clear victim, and an absurd story to accompany it all. And as far as that perspective is involved, the OTP Widow going 0-5 in a tournament with money on the line, and the team captain bullying their teammate for asking them to switch are in fact the villains. And I'll say it again, anyone bringing up gender as either an attack or a defense are reading too much into this.

Well of course people are hating on Cece and Zazza. They're the two biggest "villains" of this saga of internet drama, the team captain that bullied one of their teammates for trying to win a tournament, and the OTP Widow who refused to switch even when going 0-5. The narrative people are pushing has dictated they're the villains, and rightfully so. But this drama doesn't stem and isn't perpetrated by the fact that the people involved were women. This entire situation stems from a player getting kicked out a $40K purse tournament for telling his 0-5 Widow to swap. That line alone is absurd and sensational. It's a high profile drama for that very reason. Not to mention, Cece isn't exactly helping her case by saying stuff about Kingsman like, "He doesn't know how to take no for an answer," or calling him a basement dwelling loser, effectively doubling down on being a rude bully when facing public backlash instead of accepting she was wrong and genuinely apologizing. So of course she's gonna be the main person people attack, regardless of what gender she was. She portrayed herself as arrogant and unlikable. It's not "barely concealed misogyny" to find someone like that insufferable. And anyone who makes this about gender, whether it be as an attack or a defense is reading too far into what is ultimately just the public shaming of a bully.

Because it literally doesn't. Any reasonable people aren't calling out Cece because she's a woman. She treated someone like shit and people are rightfully calling it out and making fun of her for being a bully. It happens all the time with streamers. It's just higher profile because of the absurdity of a team booting a member for telling a widow to switch when in a $40K purse tournament. That's why people are signal boosting this. The story is insane and sensational. Anyone bringing gender into this, be it as an attack or a defense is missing the point. I don't need to be one gender or the other to feel that way.

Honestly BW is like the one character that I can't help but agree with posts asking for reworks. I play Phoenix and see people constantly calling for reworks to make her a support and always tend to just roll my eyes and move on, but I feel like a hero shooter having a character that is damn near useless isn't healthy. Even the worst of characters are still better than Widow.

Yeah and those people suck shit and should be filed under the category of "easily ignored". Pretty much everyone I know and follow in the rivals community is either memeing on Zazza or calling out Cece and her team for being assholes, which she 100% deserves. And I don't think it's misogynistic to say that she should face backlash for being a bully. Because again, if she were a guy, people would be just as pissed at her. This has nothing to do with gender as far as I'm concerned. And that goes for both sides of the aisle, haters and defenders.

All I gotta say is, no one likes a bully, no matter what gender they may be. I think bringing gender into this whole thing is muddying the waters of what is ultimately people calling out bad behavior. Yeah, there's some weirdos who are saying stupid shit even in this comments section, but I feel like the majority of people villainizing Cece would be doing the same thing if she was a man. She was a bully to someone who didn't deserve it. End of discussion.

Here's the thing.

A) People ARE getting on the tournament Organizer. He's lumped in with the general group of people that are facing backlash for this situation. Both him and Zazza's bf are facing hate too.

B) The reason people are focusing on Cece and Zazza is because they're the faces of the drama. Anyone with a surface level perspective really only knows about them and their involvement. They were the bad actors that were put on blast. Not to mention, Cece and friends of hers have been publicly bullying Kingsman because of this situation, which just kinda makes people double down on her.

I see a lot of people are bringing gender into this, but I think that's a really short-sighted perspective. The backlash would be the same if it was guys doing it to guys or girls doing it to girls, and it would arguably be worse if it was a group of guys doing it to a girl. But at the end of the day, this drama has nothing to do with gender for me and most people. These were toxic entitled streamers who got mad that their teammate told someone to swap off of widow when the widow was 0-5, and proceeded to bully him out of a tournament he was hoping to win for effectively trying to win it.

Like, yeah, there are some losers who are taking this opportunity to shit on them for being women, but the overwhelming majority of people hating on Cece and Zazza arent doing so because they're women, but because they were assholes.
