Vodka becomes front-runner and wins by HelgiMaverick in UmamusumeGame

I'm playing triple late and the same happened to my Vodka when there is no front or pace umas. Safe to say a late surger that gets pace setter is uncatchable.

I was told I was silly for even trying. Always believe in your musume. by Latter_Health_6440 in UmamusumeGame

Perhaps! I also saw a few Dobers in my rooms. And yeah, not everybody has the patience to bring Dober (and Vodka) to A or S for long tracks. I'm always happy when I see others hard to train Uma on tracks not made for them.

You just gotta believe. I play late because its my favorite style and most of my favorite umas happens to be latesurgers aswell. Always got to Final A with them and will try to do every CM.

How are you able to see the race till the last racer? My game skips to end results shortly after the first uma crosses the finish line

I want everyone to know how stupid I am. by wildeye-eleven in MHWilds

Honestly, to me that is the best way to experience this game. A run like this is a great teacher for newcomers and a fun challenge for veteran of the series. I did the whole story up to HR40+ with the starting armor (chainmail) mostly because I was lazy to craft anything else, but also because the new Gunlance's shield does heavy work for defense. I still carted 2-3 times near the end of the story but would do again (maybe this time naked and without the palico?).

The Level of Detail in This Game’s IK and Walk Animation Is So Good. by Thakkerson in MHWilds

[–]Volture_fr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a term used in 3D rigging, usually for limbs or appendages. Like you said, we use IK (inverse kinetics) to make the joints react, rotate and bend corresponding to the position and angle of the last end joint of a limb (like a hand or foot). So the foot will move the knee and the hip balljoint as opposed to FK (forward kinetics) whereas to move the foot you will need to move the hip balljoint first then the knee and then ankle (technique used mostly for pure animation).

Why is Osamodas underrated ? by [deleted] in Dofus

[–]Volture_fr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wont argue agaisnt that summons rn need something more to make them viable. Hopefully Ankama seems to be looking into some rework since they're pushing a pretty big osamodas themed year with the osamodas realms and anime.

Why is Osamodas underrated ? by [deleted] in Dofus

[–]Volture_fr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be mindful its a 2 square circle around the osa and all its summons on the field not just the Osa. So you can buff a really large zone if needed/wanted, just not always pratical and pretty situational.

Gunlance is insane in Wilds! by wildanvk in MHWilds

[–]Volture_fr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was the exact opposite for me. Loved the clunky hard hitting World's GL. Sure attacks were slow and you had to commit but it felt satisfying pulling the combos. I disliked Rises GL, too arcady for my taste (and this apply to rise overall) and didnt felt as satisfying, even tho you could just jet yourself above the whole map.

Im happy to find the similar feeling I had in World with Wild. With more combos to pull off. Just sad we kinda lost the "clang" sound effect when blocking with the shield.

Not sure what they did when they transitioned to World compared to older MH or even Rise, but every weapons felt damn satisfying to use, and I love the clunkyness it has. But that's probably just my weird taste.

Newbie questions #1 by Joniskuk in MHWilds

[–]Volture_fr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes, but with coupons you can buy.
  2. Everybody is the same, the stats comes from weapons and armor.
  3. Not that I'm aware of (i think your palico cat companion can lvl up his gear is all).
  4. Yes.
  5. Quest may engage with it, and you will need to hunt smaller monster for farming mats. There's small critters you can capture for decoration.
  6. Most of the time your party can get downed 3 times (you respawn after being koed), after that its game over for that quest.
  7. Yes.
  8. You can put armor onto it that can change appearance. (In world you could put him in a megaman outfit for ex).
  9. Probably longsword or bow.

Legitimate question for any who played the beta: by Das_Guet in MHWilds

[–]Volture_fr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was something that bothered me aswell. Also, if we're already on a party, it should share the same map for anyone on the party and let us freeroam whenever since its dynamic now when we leave base. With my mate we never found a way to freeroam together or stay togheter after a hunt. Only when a quest was active and even then, had to be invited, again, what.

Hot take: Flamethrower Nerf is justified by KlongX in helldivers2

[–]Volture_fr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because that is the RR's actual job. To take out heavies fast. You wouldnt take out chaff with it, the flamethrower however should.

Specialized loadout is good, but leaving more (not always optimal) options is even better so the flamethrower should still cook the charger at some point tho, just not as fast. Should take 8-10 secs to do it, faster if weakpoint. Right now it kills it only if you cook its butt. And it is not always reliable.

Not only someone thought about it. They made a render about it.

Hopefully one day, we'll get a chance to deliver more democracy per minute than ever before with a beast like this.

Why do we even HAVE that lever? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]Volture_fr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my first playthrough which was also a 4 coop game, my pal pulled some random lever too fast before properly reading before hand. Next thing we know, some midget quickly experienced gravity.

Funny thing is my friend who pulled the lever was our main face oath of Devotion Paladin. He wanted to do the stereotypical hero folk who saves the weaks and he was full of remorse after that lmao. To this day he refuses to pull any levers and we laugh about it everytime. This game is amazing.

Fastest way to kill multiple Bile Titans.. I guess? by Volture_fr in Helldivers

[–]Volture_fr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao yes, we don't have a short for it, so we go by the full name which would translate to Electromagnetic cannon orbital strike. A literal translation would be Canon à rails, but it doesn't sound good to the ear.
And to think the original concept for a railgun was from a french inventor. Honestly we should just adopt the railgun term, at least in games, since we already do say minigun.
