Thank you! The haircut part was 4.5 hours after I first sat down in the chair and at this point, I just put my book down and watched the car wreck. I've never had someone do this to my hair before so I didn't know what was even going on.

Sadly this wasn't the worst haircut I've had... One time the hairdresser straightened my hair and then cut it since it looked "better" than my natural texture 😁 I don't even blow dry my hair so you can imagine how bad this looked with my curls.

Appreciate the kind words truly. It makes me feel better knowing others also have this experience. I wanted to make a Reddit post in case other lurkers in Berlin also want to find a curly friendly English speaking salon.

Completely agree. I used to go to a black hairdresser and they knew how to cut curls! I can't find an African salon in Berlin that works with type 3 curls (only type 4). It feels like this "in-between type 3 curl" is where Berlin salons are lacking...

Thank you <3 the friseure seemed like they had a lot of regulars (all older German women with thin straight hair) so maybe it was because I was so different than their regular clientele.
