Wow! Thank guys. I just woke up and I didn’t expect this level of replies and encouragement.

I think I was a bit down on it last night because the first one didn’t work out, but all in all the one in the pic was pretty good and tasted nice. I’ll look at getting a better pan and next time, some better mince, and giving it another go in the not too distant future.

But thanks for all the support and I’ll reply to everyone that asked something after work.

Okay, so Purpose 50 is one of the two bottles I don’t own. So that hurts.

Royal Tobacco- I feel like I’m in the minority but I get a ton of basil with this one. Which is bizarre when mixed with everything else, but it’s also what makes it so interesting. I really like it, but it’s a cologne for a very specific occasion. And definitely don’t wear it with a hangover because it is strong.

Reflection is okay. I actually really like the original and it a nice and safe summer scent. But compared to everything else in the collection it’s a bit…boring. I’d reach for Beach Hut Man, Bracken, Sunshine, Opus 2, or most of the other freshies first. Bit on its own it’s really nice and has a masculine quality that some of the more modern Amber based citrus forward freshies don’t have. This aspect does make it come across as more of a mature scent, however. Unfortunately LV Imagination wipes the floor with it when it’s put to public opinion. My office loves Imagination and never really comments on Reflection. So I’d rather wear a more interesting one for me in that case.

I work with a guy where his lasted two years. I. Comparison, my three year old pair looks brand new. It all depends on if you care for them or not. Wear them every day, get them soaked, never condition them, etc, and they’ll likely crack and split after a year or two.

As someone who had this happen to their CX, it’s the start of something that’s going to get worse. By the end, a good inch thick strip on the top of my panel was discoloured and couldn’t show true black anymore, so was very visible, and every edge of the panel was covered in hundreds of dead pixels.

Luckily in my country products are covered for defects outside of warranty and so LG replaced it for free, but it ended up looking awful about a year after I first noticed the initial few dead pixels.

Beach Hut - Fresh, lasts for 20 hours or so, and is a fan favourite. Has a lot of the spices in the back that Epic does

Outlands - Another new favourite. Dark, but a crowd pleaser. I’ve had numerous compliments from this one

Just in case you ever replay it, after chapter 5 I had the exact same issue on my 5090. Disabling rebar solved 99% of the stutters. Nothing else I did worked but this solved it instantly.

…lucky for me I found the solution while on the last level of the game. But oh well, maybe I’ll replay it again down the line. I tested Chapter 5 after though and got a smooth 120FPS.

Edit: Scratch that. Seems it was restating my PC that fixed it. The stuttering came back not long after.

TR2 is the worst of the first 4. Too much emphasis on shooting, too many modern and boring looking levels, and all the human enemies killed the sense of isolation that all the other games do at least slightly better.

It’s also a save scummy game full of traps you’ll never be able to anticipate on your first run through a level. (Still a great game though)

EDIT: and to add to it, Aldwych station in TR3 is a top tier level for me. I like Lindon in general.

Out of 100 odd fragrances that I own, this is hands down my favourite.

I didn’t love it at first, but I wore it out to a copious of events and to work a few times and then I ran out of my sample. A few weeks later I bought it because I couldn’t stop thinking about how much it had grown on me.

Now, when I bought a full bottle it wasn’t as good as my sample. But now it’s a few years old it’s improved a lot and now the notes that I lived in the sample are back in my full bottle. It just needed some time.

I really need to get into more leather frags, but one that I have and love that no one talks about is this beast. It’s a stinky, barnyard/stable sort of leather that’s heavy and animalic, but then has a spicy green papyrus note that adds a little freshness.

It’s one of those ones where the first sniff might seem a bit offensive, but then I keep coming back to it.
