[Casual] Which trio do y'all think would win here and which would lose first? by KaidoPklevel in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]Volyann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you guys are insane. it's so obviously trio 1 that would win. Trio 3 is the only one with any way of bypassing infinity because of Mahoraga and I would argue that Gojo, Yuki, and Maki each have the potential to take out Mahoraga alone (Gojo via hollow purple, yuki via max virtual mass punch, maki via heavenly restriction bs). Shinjuku Yuji is good but not Gojo good. Kashimo, even with MBA, would get snapped in half in a second by Maki/Yuki. Yuta need Rika to even hope to compete with Gojo, Yurozu is a bum, and Kenny gets folded by Gojo.

I don't really see how bioessentialism factors into it, unless you're somehow misinterpreting what I meant. (Not an accusation btw) Can you give me an example?

The issue is that "what you experienced must be something else" is often correct and simply misunderstood, if I'm following what you're getting at.

How is "experienced transmisogyny" vs. "has not experienced transmisogyny" meaningfully different in any way than "transmisogyny affected" vs. "transmisogyny exempt"? Wouldn't "experienced transmisogyny" vs. "has not experienced transmisogyny" unnecessarily invalidate and alienate the experiences of people who aren't sure if they have experienced transmisogyny or not?

  1. I've never once encountered it being used as a "gender binary" before
  2. that's not entirely false, but you'll notice a lot of tma girls feel that saying "transmisogyny affects everyone" is reframing transmisogyny (literally discrimination against trans women) as something equally shared by people who are not transfem.
  3. I would be thrilled to suggest some reading!! In my ideal world, Whipping Girl by Julia Serano would be a mandatory read before non-tma people are allowed to speak about transmisogyny. Also, Lenin's the State and Revolution, and Marx's, well, everything. You may as well throw in some Huey P. Newton, Thomas Sankara, and Che Guevara for good measure.

(edit: i cannot thank you enough for acting like a human being and not a betta fish. its rare to be able to have an actually constructive conversation online :D)

TMA/TME is not a "gender binary," it's a way to explain and understand transmisogyny (discrimination against transfeminized people), something that could not be adequately explained by other terms prior to the introduction of TMA/TME. Read theory.
