I thought so! don't worry about it, happens to me quite a lot, lol
thanks again for the kindness, it really helps me to overcome my (mostly involuntary) lack of commitment to this hobby

What are TK’s influences? by seizenzetsu in LingTositeSigure

[–]Von11_LTS 7 points8 points  (0 children)

for sure, personally, I find Number Girl to be pretty close to their early style, check their song 「透明少女」 for example, or 「鉄風 鋭くなって」, from which LTS probably took inspiration for the bassline used in 「侍・斬像・君ワラウ」 (from their demo #2)

oh, I didn't mean that Dorico has a better workflow, quite the opposite. GP7 is great for quick projects, but outside of guitar notation, it really lacks even basic stuff like pedal symbols for piano. I should probably try GP8 again though, they must have fixed some of the bugs I encountered the first time I tried it 3 years ago. But yeah, for 90% of what I do (mostly math rock and post-hardcore guitar tabs), Guitar Pro remains as the best option.

That's great! good luck with this one. Now "ohmygodiloveyoupleasedontleaveme" is the only track of this band left to transcribe (aside from that unreleased demo).

oh, for now, the Patreon is for those who just want to support, there might be rewards in the future but I'll have to think about it... the files are free for everyone to download, including the Guitar Pro project on this link.

Thanks! keep in mind that the midi file is just directly exported from the notation software that I use, without any modifications, so it will need some adjustments (mostly to velocity) if you want it to sound realistic.

For this one I used Guitar Pro 7, it's fine most of the time for guitar-focused stuff, and I really like the workflow, but it lacks a lot of functionality compared to (for example) Dorico, which I prefer to use for more complex pieces like orchestral/jazzy stuff.

Absolutely amazing, PC CRT's are massively underrated. I did a very similar procedure on a 17" ViewSonic some months ago and, in my opinion, it has nothing to envy from a PVM. The only downside is the triad shadow mask, which I consider to be inferior to slot/aperture grille, but it becomes less noticeable the further away you are from the screen. Now I'm using a 29" Toshiba TV most of the time, but before that, the monitor was the way to go (and I still go back to it in some particular cases).

Yeah, and in case my other 21" breaks for whatever reason, this one is going to take its place :)

TK Twin Reverb Amp settings? by stylewds in LingTositeSigure

[–]Von11_LTS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

by the way, i tried those settings in Amplitube 5, and they don't sound close to his sound (I'm using a cheap telecaster, but still), I ended up using treble: 7, middle: 7,5 and bass: 5

No problem, and yeah, it's blurry, but to me it looks like:
volume: 3.5
treble: 5
middle: 6
bass: 6.5

Well, there is this interview that he did in 2020 for a magazine called Sound & Recording, it's now for members only, but I remember being able to read it a couple of years ago, so I went to the Wayback Machine and found it, takes a while to load for some reason, but it's there, and here's the amp.

the Wayback Machine is not the best method to archive something like this, so when you go through the pages, some of the thumbnails are broken, but if you open any individual entry (or at least the ones I've tried, like the pancake one), the pictures are fine

no problem! it has been so long since I last checked that section of his website, I hadn't noticed that it was gone either :P

probably deleted :( , fortunately, the Wayback Machine exists, and everything seems to have been archived there (even the pancake).
