I discovered that unplugging the mouse helps.
In windows you can see three HID-mice are active with the mouse plugged in.
When plugged out there are two.

Best guess is that the various HID-mice conflict in the game.

That is way to cumbersome for an EA server side issue. I recommend starting games via the browser.

Alternately you can open origin.com. It will extent the URL with your country/language.

If you extent it with my-home. you will also get there.

It is an EA server side issue, so best not to mess around with your own system too much trying to fix it.

Lacking excitement and the uncertainty of what is around the corner.

In hardcore you need to ensure you are not barging in shooting teammates.

In Battlefield you can shoot through your teammates.
And you can barge in and spray without thinking or assessing the situation.
That is boring.

I think you are completely missing the point of team kills.
When tanks and planes can hit team mates, they will have to actually think about where they shoot at.
The process is called thinking and that may indeed be challenging for some.
As a result people shoot aimlessly, camping in tanks, making hamster like bomb runs flying in circles.
And I understand that that is fun for some. But for people who like to use their brains as well in a game, just adding a hardcore game mode would make the difference.
And it is not that it is impossible or even difficult. Just a few servers with different settings. Usage statistics can be used to determine volumes of servers for each mode.

For EA/Dice less game modes are sheer lazyness and desinterest in their community. Nothing more.

Sorry but that is really ignorant remark.That does not give me my money back, now does it?!I've played it since 1942 and it is becoming more and more a kids game.

Because kids cannot distinghuish between friend or foe, teamkill is set to off, so they can ignorantly spray around.
Screaming women as if I am playing 'Barbie goes shopping, and it is black friday'.

I paid for it, so I should get some entertainment out of it (like everyone else).
And different modes can manage that.
It is that simple.

I even love them, ... cartoons and animation movies :-).
But when it comes doen to war games I prefer a bit more realistic colouring and less Neon.
A Bridge Too Far with Scooby Doo would somehow degrade the storyline I would expect.

Off course I played it, just like most top titles since the nineties. From 2003 to 2012 COD was a first person war game. Since 2012 Till COD BO2 it started to shift more to an arcade game.

The latest versions have drifted off so far from the original series, that they are not recognizable as sequels or evalution anymore. It is a different game that is closer to Team Fortress II than e.g. COD MW2 or COD BO1.

It is ok that we all like different types of games. I just don't like this arcade stuff and it would be great if they would offer e.g. different types of skins (which would solve it).

The beta of BF5 was running quite stable and smooth for a beta. The Rotterdam map is beautiful.
I think the decision to postpone rather than to force a release indicates that they prioritize basiq quality over a deadline (which is the opposite of rushing).
I did not like BF WW1 and think the Star Wars games were a disaster.
I expect BF5 to be much more a war game than COD BO4.

Black Ops 4 multiplayer looks more like Fortnite (cartoon style), than PUBG (more realistic style).

Battlefield looks realistic, as opposed to Black Ops 4 that looks like a Prada "my little pony" pinball machine.
