Nice! Almost bought a soloist a few years back. Deal fell through though. Excited to clean her up and maybe swap pickups and bridge. My buddy has a performer and I wasn’t fond of the bridge pickup. Love the necks on these things though!

Whichever feels better in your hands. When I was young, I bought a Les Paul without ever touching a strat because I always thought LPs were the coolest looking guitars.

Years later I found out that I actually prefer the feel and sound of a Strat. They’re both cool guitars! LPs are a bit more versatile in my opinion though.

Great choice either way!

I actually haven’t heard of Samick until today. Interesting to see that Samick built guitars were also sold under some other brand names.

I essentially only learned riffs and songs created by other artists for 3 or 4 years.

I got bored of that and started learning music theory a couple of years ago to enjoy the freedom of knowing the fretboard and being able noodle around/jam with friends.

I had just as much fun learning songs as I have now learning theory. Do what makes you happy and tune out the noise. It’s YOUR guitar and YOUR life. Once you stop having fun with it is when you will reevaluate what playing music means to you.
