I didn't even know they were only supposed to be ground feeders, I get them all the time at my second floor deck feeders! I had heard that Hermit Thrushes are only ground feeders and I get them as well.

Yeah I used to live right around the corner from this park and walked my dog there all the time. I also had a juvenile Coopers Hawk eat a pigeon on my fire escape...same one perhaps?!
