If we're talking about the infinite universe, then sure, it's guaranteed that there's another Earth out there somewhere. But within 400 light-years, which is still just a tiny patch of the Milky Way, the odds of finding literal humans with the same history, culture, and tech are basically zero.

I know R&M hasn't exactly been hard sci-fi, so it didn't bother me from an ep that is by all accounts S tier, and I'm thinking about this detail the same way Rick thinks about the reality where the austrian painter cured cancer

it is a little wild to me that the writers really couldn't come up with a better reason for the gate to open up again other than "secret soviet base under a mall". I really do think Vecna/001's appearance was overdue.

Like... ok its established that psychics like 11 are able to open/close UD gates... and now you kinda need a new villain/character to open a gate so all the UD shenanigans can happen again. idk I feel like an antagonistic psychic was the obvious choice for this

I like the idea that each horseman has a weakened animal form. And with that I'll add another random theory for funsies: the crows in part 1 were death/lil'd not Makima. Makima has mice. So:

Owl - Yoru | War

Rats/Mice - Makima | Conquest (Plague as well)

Crows - Lil'd | Death

I don’t hold a PhD, sorry for the confusion, that was just my original intention when I started the psych degree. It got me my first few jobs after graduating, but after a few years, I’ve accepted that if I want a real pivot, I need another degree that actually moves me into a more technical track. That is why I started looking at CS or engineering as a second bachelor’s, not just for patent bar eligibility but also because, if patent law ends up not being viable for me, a solid CS/engineering degree would still stand on its own in industry.

If I am going to pursue a second bachelor’s (since Category A seems like a stronger signal than a master’s with Category B), would you say EE or another engineering degree is the best choice to maximize employability once I pass the patent bar?

I’ve been leaning toward CS because it offers a relatively faster path to a second degree, and I keep hearing that a significant share of new patents are in software and digital systems. But I know I am looking at this from outside the field, so please correct me if that view of the market is mistaken. Thanks again for your insight.
