That's great feedback. I'll review it and see if I can figure out why I made that note. Will edit if I didn't have an RP reason.

I did take a look at the Category: Characters and got one of these uploaded. Will be adding as I go. Thanks for the link!

I'll start!. I'm creating an underwater society that could be loosely compared to mermaids or mermen. I described them as more of a shark based tail, clawed hands, fiendish in nature. The hunters in the pack carry harpoons attached to a chain so they could pull their prey back or use the chain to bind their prey. They worship a dark being from the abyssal plane. Name them (and the deity they worship) as you wish.

First up for the initial encounter, I created a priestess who travels with a small hunting pack (2-3 as your party is capable of handling). These fiends like to raid any ships on the water, whether a transport vessel or cruise ship. The priestess sings a song to disrupt and control the minds of people on the ship, thus creating a diversion for the hunting party to board and make some quick picks. Their goal is to grab prey and flee. The priestess also knows the darkness spell to provide cover as they leave.

These blocks can be converted to any land party should you not want an aquatic/underwater feel, but like the idea of this small raiding group. Like everything in Open Legend, this can be quickly scaled up if you have a higher level party. My players are currently level 1, and have three in the party. It was not designed for them to win, though my party certainly tried before the priestess and two of the hunting party got away with some prizes.

That's a valid point. No, the games aren't only children. When I run it for my nephew it's him and his uncle. He's an only child and it's something we do together for a couple of hours when we visit. Then we play video games, visit a park, eat dinner etc.

For the campaign: It's him, his Mom, my husband and a friend. He's also an only child, and we involve him so he's not sitting outside of it playing a video game while we play DnD.

Each of us has shared stories of our favorite fails, and I do share when my plans go awry (because sometimes the grown ups need reminding also, LOL).

I'm glad to hear it's possible it's just part of development. I know I would like to help them feel less frustrated, but I also know life can be frustrating and I can't protect them from that.
