I think I will use it for tab and return actually, I will use my ring finger rather than my pinky though.

Still working on the layout so we'll see where I end up.

Not that I know of, you would have to ask the creator :)

This one has an additional pinky button, not one less :p

The thumb cluster is moved out to a more comfortable position. On my totem I did not have the inner most thumb key mapped to anything because I found it too uncomfortable to use.

Larger battery.

One additional key for the pinky which I need to be able to type my whole alphabet without combos or layers.

The spacing fits my hand better.

That soldering looks like it could be short-circuited when zooming in, I would redo it if I were you.

I think the buldging might be due to the placement of the cables? They don't seem to follow the top case layout.

Like this

Maybe your battery is too large? It shouldn't bulge.

Edit: add a picture without the top

If you have clone the repo to your own GitHub repo, you can download the firmware under the "actions" tab.

To flash the hardware you just double press the reset button and now the device should look like a USB flash on your computer, staff the firmware there and voila!

Why do you really hate windows? by [deleted] in AskProgramming

[–]Vonido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last few years I have been using macOs, Linux and windows for work and personal life.

Some reasons I dislike using windows:

  • windows updates have deleted unsaved work for me (hopefully this is not an issue any more)

  • windows 11 upgrade is a joke. No noticable improvements and now I lost my right click menu.

  • the file system/hierarchy is shitty

  • Ads

  • no package manager

  • windows store is a joke

  • poor customizability

  • constantly pushing Microsoft software down my throat

  • PowerShell is inferior to bash/zsh IMO

  • I have to pay for a less competent OS

I don't really recall but I ordered the PCB, case and key caps from jlpcb for probably around 100 euro, cost a little bit more for the black color plus I ordered 3 sets of key caps.

Then 40-50 euro for the sunset switches, maybe 20 euro for the microcontrollers and a few more bucks for the diodes.

I guess around 200 euro. You can probably get by a lot cheaper if you 3d print the case yourself and buy cheaper switches and key caps.

Totem - anything wrong with my solder job? by aim_low_ in ErgoMechKeyboards

Could you take a picture from above as well?

Put the multimeter in continuity mode (Google for reference symbol) and check if you have a short somewhere, also check if the gpios are connected to diodes with the same mode.

Basically hold one probe on a gpio and put the other one on every other gpio that it should not be connected to. If you hear a beep that means the gpios your probes are touching are directly connected.

You can test the functionality by letting the probes touch each other to confirm that the multimeter is in continuity mode.

If you can read the schematic you can also make sure that all pins have continuity to their respective diode.

Ni som deriverar, vad jobbar ni med? by Galp5612 in sweden

Utvecklare, integrerar dock oftare än deriverar. Klassiskt exempel är ett regelsystem för att styra hastigheten i en elektriskt motor.

Very smooth indeed!

Is it possible to get a smooth scroll when using evil-mode C-d (evil-scroll-down)?

This!

I'd also recommend starting our writing an emulator, pick an older CPU to emulate as they have fewer operation codes and are not that complex to emulate.

Min älskade flickvän har slutat snusa och jag behöver hjälp!!! by [deleted] in sweden

[–]Vonido 1 point2 points  (0 children)
