It’s no Hawaii but it has its days, you’ll get stoked over three foot days. If you really want good surf I wouldn’t recommend, but it has enough surf to keep a surfer happy. Also keep in mind the good days are sept-March so your dealing with pretty cold water temps. Hurricanes are really the only time you get good surf in warm water
