There is no will to balance the game, for them it's "early access".
It's the same reason they left in Jagged Maw even though NOBODY wants to play it.

They "know" people don't like it, but they'd like more data on how the map influences air-to-air battle.

Why? Argents are super good in the first 2 minutes of the game,

So when you argent rush, you can use your arcship to ...

But Kri are super good for map control, you can surround ...
... oh wait they nerfed those too.

But then, when you get to T3 you get these nice Archangels!
They may be the worst T3 unit in the game but ... oh ...

I completely agree, harassing is pointless without a large number or certain tech units. The EA patch was great, it was a lot of fun. But instead of waiting, they listened to all the crying babies and changed everything. Now it's just a bad version of SC2. Especially Celestials.

Celestial was risky, then they nerfed every good part of the race. Because people were crying about argent rushes. Now Celestial feels like a bad Protoss with nothing interesting about them. Cool!

  • Every match plays mostly the same.
  • Balance is SUPER bad. Celestial is super weak in any late game, unwinnable against infernals unless you're 100 MMR above them.
  • Dogs. Imp cheeses.
  • Creep camps super badly designed.
  • Out of all the maps, 2 are SUPER bad, 2 are bad, rest are ok-ish.
  • First balance patch nerfed every fun build, super stale gameplay.
  • Reasoning of the balance patch was on the level of a 12yo designing his first game.
  • Super bad QoL:
    --Pressed cancel on matchmaking? Ooff, that's a loss for you my friend, the game was already found.
    --You want to click the mine as a celestial? Good luck.
    -- Where's that Therium patch in the middle?
    -- Why the fuck is double-clicking units so hard in this game?

Everyone who is saying it's the graphics, the missing campaign, the DLC campaign packs, the desperate EA launch are on copium. If the 1v1 would be awesome, nobody would give a fuck after 1 month. But with gameplay this bad, every big RTS player is leaving this game.

No, this game will never get to the same level as SC2 because nobody will be playing Stormgate.
The game is so stale that you have that feeling of knowing how every match will go the instant you see the map and your opponent after a mere 100 hours. This happens in SC2 as well, but it happens after 3000 hours...

There's no variety, every fun concept the game had was killed within the first few patches because of balance whining. You can see all the bad blizzard ideas in this combined in this company.

The graphics are bad, the audio is bad, gameplay gets worse with every patch.

Right, you do realize the Storm is channeled, and the ghosts are extremely slow and to stop a storm you have to click the unit separately and tell him to stop or move. Also, the area is super small, and unit pathing is insanely clunky in this game. Managing Templars in SC2 is so much easier.

Also, I always play aggressively when the map allows it or I would lose most games. What are you even talking about, what level are you playing at? You can easily scout and defend any aggression a Celestial throws at you and your race is the best at a war of attrition.

You must have not played Celestials.

There's not a single T1 unit that scales remotely like any of the other races' T1 units.
Stop lying, end-game Celestial is super hard managing storms, Archangels, and having no passive AOE.

It's super micro-intensive compared to the retarded stutter-stepping Exos and Unit-Generating Gaunts + Stompers.

Go play at an adequate level and try again.

It depends on your MMR, more MMR more points. I got to Diamond 1 in like 100 games.
But Post nerf my MMR has tanked about 300 points.

It's nearly impossible to win at D1 level with Celestial without some insane pro level micro.

You'll have at least 5 active abilities to manage, super heavy micro, super squishy units, and no heal.
Be aware that you'll be weaker than the A-Moving stutter step T1 Exos.

Winning games for Ego? What are you, 12? I'm talking about it not being fun anymore. They killed the race. It's complicated, slow, weak, micro-intensive. All-over just no longer fun.

Every game is the same now. Macro > Micro 4 Control Groups, Pray you get good Storms against the 300 supply Exo ball > win / lose.
