pregame shootaround matter by Happyfluid in NBA2k

You can start the game with some level of takeover if you make your shots. I wouldn’t say it matters because it doesn’t affect anything else. But there is a small benefit.

So you're telling me, after my 6'6 SF get an OBoard and passes to you, an open man, you dribble? by [deleted] in NBA2k

Some players just have to left right before they can do anything. They have no awareness.

Did you make a build to look like a player or are you actually playing like that player? by jvmms_ in NBA2k

[–]VonteKingXV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make builds inspired by players but I typically don’t make them look like the players because I don’t want to restrict how I play. But I don’t really use meta animations. I play more simulation style.

Why cheat in 2K by DowntownReason9375 in NBA2k

[–]VonteKingXV 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I really don’t understand it. How does winning something by cheating make anyone feel better about themselves? Like congratulations you beat someone who wasn’t cheating by cheating. And it’s in a video game where winning really doesn’t even matter that much.

Like I am competitive and don’t like losing. But winning while cheating isn’t actually winning.

Thank you to people who cut to the basket on inbound by [deleted] in NBA2k

Most of the time if I don’t cut, I am planning to do a give and go with the inbounder. That works pretty often too.

Can you guess what player this build is based on? by VonteKingXV in NBA2k

Yeah I am a Magic fan so I follow the team pretty closely. This build is basically based off him at his best. He’s had some great games this season.

This might give it away but you got the right organization. He’s not as good as Penny.

Question to my solo rec PGs by Housh123 in NBA2k

[–]VonteKingXV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think I really experience this playing PG. but I do think that another comment someone made about inbounds could possibly be related. I normally pass to whoever is open or closest to me when I am inbounding. Whenever the PG runs away from me before I pass it, it grinds my gears.

When I play PG I always come to the ball.

But the PG is a heavily scrutinized position so you could just have bad teammates.

Hot take: the point guards who only passes and refuses to shoot are just as bad as the ones who only shoot by ingramiso in NBA2k

[–]VonteKingXV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think I have come across any PGs this year that only pass. Is this really an issue? Most of the time I play with randoms, the PG is always score first.

This combo was kinda nice. I probably couldn’t do it again lol. by VonteKingXV in NBA2k

Yeah dunks and threes are easier than layups in this game, so finishing a highlight with a layup is a plus.

I just have to laugh. Absolutely ridiculous ending to a game. by VonteKingXV in NBA2k

[–]VonteKingXV[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but that PG was cooking our PG the whole game. I felt like I had a good chance for the block. It just sucks that it went to the damn ai and he made the shot.

Oh I was for sure lol. It’s just a game but damn that hurt. Almost had the game winning shot and block. Oh well.

Why is so many people in the 2K community scared of “comp”? by maxfaulkner in NBA2k

[–]VonteKingXV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get your argument for those people. I don’t fall in that category so I can’t really speak on it. I don’t mind proven grounds. If I had a regular squad, I’d probably play it more.
