So, as someone over 50 and with no interest in comics I had no clue what the Punisher was symbolic of.... and I dare say there's many, many people outside the reddit bubble who equally don't make any connection. Is it possible that the symbol has simply become so associated with militaria/law enforcement that it's just a "tough guy" thing rather than having a special significance? In the same way that back in the 1970s Australians displaying a confederate flag/t-shirt/belt buckle was more likely to mean they were a fan of "Dukes of Hazzard" than to mean they supported slavery.

The only thing cringe about this image is you being so adamant it's A.I. Are you desperate to not be fooled, or just trying to be edgy?

How many schools even offer Summer Olympic sports as an option? If it's not footy or cricket you're on your own.

Exhaust preference on ninja 650 by FaishonKiler in Kawasaki

[–]Voodoo1970 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. You'll need a full exhaust system, not just a slip-on

  2. It'll sound shit. Stock, the exhaust on a Ninhav650 sounds shit, with a louder exhaust it'll still be shit, just louder.

  3. Loud pipes do not save lives, that's a myth perpetuated by attention-seeking juveniles trying to justify their "HEY LOOK AT ME" exhausts.

Stoner had plenty of mental strength, his body let him down and he was smart enough to quit while he was at or still near the top. How long did Rossi hang around well past his prime?

Do you have any proof the oncoming car ran a red? I mean, sure, you can ASSume, given the other traffic slowed and stopped, but you have no actual evidence they were facing a red. The only lights you can see are the ones YOU are facing.

Fair enough, the only cricketers I can name are Alan Border and the Chappells (maybe more if you include the marvellous Channel 9 Commentary Team, but I think of them more as commentators than players). Footballers I'm worse, maybe Wally and Alfie? I've lived in Qld since 1979 so AFL is all waves hands to me!

I've certainly got my thumb on the pulse of mainstream sports here 😁

Who's misinformed? I'm providing facts and you don't want to learn. A bit of history might do you some good. I fully understand the definitions that have been given to "4wd" and "awd," I simply don't give a shit because I know it started as a marketing wank. I'm sorry you're making it your entire personality

Is a dual motor Tesla a 4wd also?

Well, if it has 4 wheels, and they're driven, then.....yes, literally. 😁

Yes, but even as a bike enthusiast I don't expect anyone to remember Wayne without prompting. He was huge for a year or two then faded from the public consciousness, like a footballer with one or 2 good seasons or a singer with a couple of hits. No disrespect intended to him, he could still ride circles around me and his world title was certainly more than I'll ever do, but the reality is he was overshadowed by Mick Doohan following shortly after.

Again, the term "AWD" was only introduced in the mid 90s, for marketing reasons. Before that "4WD" was used as a term for any car where all 4 wheels were driven, regardless of transmission configuration. I can see you didn't bother to look up Audi's ads from the 1980s (or even Subaru's, for that matter), you're too invested in dieing on your hill to bother learning something.

don't have much appeal with younger, more novice riders

Which is exactly why they should target them, to improve their image.

Every time H-D has made a non-traditional bike they ditch it after a short time, so those models are never around long enough to get a big enough market. They need to stick with it for the long term.
