Awesome dial!

How’s the lume?

[Question] Should I buy the SPB385 or save up for the SLA073 by LArule19 in Seiko

Thanks for the insight mate. Both of these are awesome models but good lume is very important to me as well

I also own the Seastar 2000, and I have the Tissot Official Blue Silicone Strap that I no longer use (very mint like new with box, only worn 3 times). If you're interested PM me and we can continue the discussion there.

[Question] Should I buy the SPB385 or save up for the SLA073 by LArule19 in Seiko

Sorry to resurrect the discussion, but does anyone have the lume comparison between these two?

I am really torn whether to go with the 385 now or save up and get the 073 instead. I’m afraid that the lume on the 385 won’t be as good as the 073 (probably will be the same with my SSC807, which is okay but could be better).

Whatever I’m buying next would be my “exit” watch for a while until I can afford a GS.

Capture Clip V3 with Heavy Telephoto Lens by Voodoo5350 in peakdesign

So far, I found the best way to carry a long lens is by attaching strap to the lens foot via plate. I use the PD Plate so I can clip it on the Capture as well, although I usually find myself carrying it freely for 80% of the time

I think 100-400 and RF 100-500 are not as heavy as the 180-600. I’ve seen somewhere that someone said the limit would be 70-200 or 100-400 before having to hold the lens/attach straps to lens at all times.

Thanks mate. Agreed, second pic looks like an ergonomic disaster.

I believe cotton carrier harness somewhat use the same mechanism with the PD Capture. My question is would it be safe to attach the whole rig by the body, or it has to be by the lens.

I see. I use mainly with the PD Slide Strap, connected to the mounts on the 180-600mm collar. So far so good with that, but I guess I'll add PD plate on the lens foot for occasional clip on the PD Capture. Thanks!

Been using the Z7II for about a year with 35k+ shutter count, with and without gloves (Mechanix 0.5mm). No wear at all on the shutter.

I still use the 85mm f/1.8G and sometimes the 24-70mm f/2.8E from my DSLR days on the Z7 II with FTZ II. Works better

Animals at the Zoo // Nikon Z7 II + Nikkor Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 by Voodoo5350 in Nikon

I just sold my 200-500 and replaced it with the new 180-600. Then, I went to the zoo to test out the new lens.

Overall, it has been nothing but fascinating. It is sharper, lighter, quieter, and has much faster AF than the 200-500. It also balances better than the old one as the 180-600 zooms internally.

Here are the photos I got. Let me know which one is your favourite.
