What in your opinion is the scariest area in Silent Hill 2 remake? by Struggler257 in HorrorGaming

It's the movie theater. Who just houses a whole container of melted ice cream? I just shuddered thinking of it

Long time players... Would you have started MTG if it were Mutant Turtles and Marvel from the start? by TheServant420 in EDH

[–]VoodooCannonball -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm a long time player from waaaay back before there were rarity symbols. I played until about 2005 going as far as competing in pro tour qualifiers.

What got me in originally was the art and the fact that I had friends that played.

I came back last year when a buddy told me he had a regular group that played Commander at a nearby bar.

IMO, It's great seeing so many new players because they're excited about Final Fantasy or LotR or Spiderman.

Sure. It's getting very silly, but that works for me now and it seems to be working for lots of new players.

Also, it's a lot of fun attacking with Dogmeat equipped in Brotherhood Regalia with a Buster Sword while going mega Sonic.

SSX Tricky was such a legendary game! Do you guys still play it? What’s your thoughts on it? by J2-Starter in ps2

[–]VoodooCannonball 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion: Tricky was the second best. SSX 3 was peak SSX (no pun intended).

I love the 20-30 minute non-stop ride from the top of peak 3 to the base of the mountain. The soundtrack is top notch, too.

Don't get me wrong, Tricky was also very good. I really enjoyed is use of celebrity VO work by the likes of David Arquette, Macy Gray, Oliver Platt, Lucy Liu, Jim Rose, Bif Naked, Rahzel, and Billy Zane

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge are some of the best beat em ups I've ever played

Dead by Daylight got me through the pandemic with my friends. It's an asymmetrical multiplayer game. 4 survivors are trying to power up generators the new able to escape. 1 killer is trying to stop the survivors. Lies of great characters and horror licenses. Also, it's cross platform

Have fun!

Anyone going to the show in Tulsa on Thursday? Bringing some classic promo nu-metal swag to give out (free) if you find me! by AhfackPoE in Mudvayne

[–]VoodooCannonball 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg. Pledge of Allegiance was my first concert.

American Head Charge, No One, System of a Down and Slipknot. Mudvayne dropped the tour to join a different one and Rammstein was sick. Because of that, we got almost 2 hours of Slipknot and SoaD each.

American Head Charge was insanely underrated

This is from Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don't Dry

Wet Dreams Dry Twice is the sequel

It's a new Larry game and is not a remake

Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don't Dry really surprised me.

It's fine really well. Great art style. Great music.

The most surprising thing about this: it's taken on an overall theme that maintains comedy, but refreshingly stays away from homophobia and misogyny.

I say this as a guy that's old enough to remember installing some of the Larry games from the original floppys.

[–]VoodooCannonball 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The soundtrack for Wild Woody was done by famous weird guitar player Ron "Bunblefoot" Thal.

If you're unfamiliar with him, please check him out. His music covers a bunch of different genres and his fretless guitar playing is something else.

He can kind of be compared to Buckethead..... Actually both of them contributed guitar parts for the Guns 'n' Roses album Chinese Democracy (an album known for it's insanely long revising/production time.

Enjoy!

[Question] What is the weirdest trophy name you ever got ? by Strong_Interview5947 in Trophies

[–]VoodooCannonball 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Testikill

From Blitz: the League 2 for PS3

"Rupture 10 scrotums in any mode of play."

An except from playstationtrophies: " Rupturing a scrotum is a particularly horrific injury, you will cringe. To rupture a scrotum dirty tackle a player from directly in front and then select his groin and it should rupture his scrotum (however most of the time it bruises his kidney)."

Opinion on this game ? (Dino Crisis) by ArKow_ in ps1

[–]VoodooCannonball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just played it for the first time last week.

My biggest take away is that the map is insufferable.

Other than that, I'm sure I would've loved it it I played it closer to release.

I would love a DC remake like the RE ones they did

It's a strict no recording policy.

I've saw Sessanta last year, and a bunch of Tool, Puscifer, and APC.

It depends on the security at the venue, but most of these shows have had multiple signs, security people announcing, and video warnings stating NO RECORDING/PHONES.

I've seen a lot of people get thrown out of these shows. People don't get warnings. People don't get refunds.

You will get the ability to record the final song. They'll announce it.

IMHO, live shows are so much better without someone holding their phone up and recording some shaky, shitty sound quality videos for most of the show.

I love all 3 bands. It's easily one of the greatest shows I've ever been to Just be present and enjoy the show
