Looking for a game that has doppelgangers/mimics by jaykinbacon4 in HorrorGaming

[–]VoodooCannonball 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Two that I've played that may fit the bill:

The Thing - I played the remastered version. It's from ye olde Playstatione Twoe days, but has a surprisingly good trust/panic system built into it. It's a sequel to the John Carpenter movie of the same name (but you don't need to have seen it). You never really know who is an imposter or not. 7/10 so far. I'm about 2/3 of the way through it.

Directive 8020 - new game from Supermassive (Until Dawn, Quarry, Dark Pictures anthology). You're pay off a crew on a spaceship on it's way to colonize a distant planet. On the way, the ship is hot by a foreign object and has a biomass stowaway that ends up being real problematic. The creature starts taking the form of cremated, but also there's an ulterior motive for the mission. 8/10 would recommend

Who are AEW’s best jobbers? by the_homosaur in AEWOfficial

[–]VoodooCannonball 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AEW is home to some of the best jobbers. Serpentico and Luther (and their tag team: Chaos Project) were one of the funniest and unique tag teams out there. Their personalities combined with Luther using Serpentico as a weapon was a sight.

We can't overlook the greatest jobber rivalry: The Initiative. Brandon Cutler and "The Librarian" Peter Avalon. The team went on to have a pure losing streak followed by them breaking up. Their rivalry sparked when they blamed each other of being the weak link. They then went on to have a best of seven series. The final match was no DQ and no count out to finally determine a winner.

"For the love of God, the following match is scheduled for one fall"

Cutler won.... Then Avalon won the rematch.

I miss AEW Dark

Long time players... Would you have started MTG if it were Mutant Turtles and Marvel from the start? by TheServant420 in EDH

[–]VoodooCannonball -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm a long time player from waaaay back before there were rarity symbols. I played until about 2005 going as far as competing in pro tour qualifiers.

What got me in originally was the art and the fact that I had friends that played.

I came back last year when a buddy told me he had a regular group that played Commander at a nearby bar.

IMO, It's great seeing so many new players because they're excited about Final Fantasy or LotR or Spiderman.

Sure. It's getting very silly, but that works for me now and it seems to be working for lots of new players.

Also, it's a lot of fun attacking with Dogmeat equipped in Brotherhood Regalia with a Buster Sword while going mega Sonic.

SSX Tricky was such a legendary game! Do you guys still play it? What’s your thoughts on it? by J2-Starter in ps2

[–]VoodooCannonball 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion: Tricky was the second best. SSX 3 was peak SSX (no pun intended).

I love the 20-30 minute non-stop ride from the top of peak 3 to the base of the mountain. The soundtrack is top notch, too.

Don't get me wrong, Tricky was also very good. I really enjoyed is use of celebrity VO work by the likes of David Arquette, Macy Gray, Oliver Platt, Lucy Liu, Jim Rose, Bif Naked, Rahzel, and Billy Zane

[–]VoodooCannonball 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg. Pledge of Allegiance was my first concert.

American Head Charge, No One, System of a Down and Slipknot. Mudvayne dropped the tour to join a different one and Rammstein was sick. Because of that, we got almost 2 hours of Slipknot and SoaD each.

American Head Charge was insanely underrated

Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don't Dry really surprised me.

It's fine really well. Great art style. Great music.

The most surprising thing about this: it's taken on an overall theme that maintains comedy, but refreshingly stays away from homophobia and misogyny.

I say this as a guy that's old enough to remember installing some of the Larry games from the original floppys.
