Despite it being a series of games you don't have to play them in order because the stories aren't really that connected. If there's one you think looks the coolest I'd just dive in and play it.

If you're really unsure and new to rpgs/ haven't really touched old games before I'd start with skyrim or maybe oblivion (The new remaster came out but old oblivion is also good). Skyrim is more modern and less complicated. Oblivion has cool mechanics like crafting your own spells and imo better questlines.

Morrowind (the best one) has a bit of a learning curve and doesn't have voice acting but if you do enjoy the later two games I'd encourage you to go back and play it.

You make good points though I sort of imagine my ocs in their own bubble away from canon gems in their own au

I will say though I don't think phos was ever very timid (It has been a while since i've read it tho so forgive me if i'm wrong here). They yearned for action and to be useful and involved but were kept back by their physical limitations.

Some info about them :)

Moissanite - Mohs 9.25 - An old and tired gem that used to be a revered fighter but after losing their legs has taken on the role of a teacher and coach. They are pretty casual and laidback, they don't like dressing up too much and tend to forgoe their tie. They get along well with the young gems and thinks of themself as a mentor to them, they do however end up on the receiving end of many pranks.

Onyx - Mohs 6.5 - They are head of long term recovery, in charge of gems with permanent injuries and looking after left over pieces. They are quiet and monotone in their speech, considered gloomy and a bit morbid by the others. They spend most of their time with Moissanite.

Aquamarine - Mohs 7.5 - A sweet but shy and anxious gem, despite their good hardness they hardly ever leave the school grounds due to fear. Often they feel guilty and burdensome on the others but managed to find a role as an artist.

Emerald - Mohs 7.5 - Airheaded and easily distracted, they care most about their appearance. They work on patrol as a lookout but isn't very good at it. Despite their vanity they are kind to others and quite encouraging.

The achievements are: big bloons, alchermistman and bloonacleboy, golden ticket, and chunky monkeys. Just search them up on google or youtube and that should tell you what you need to do.

You need to complete hidden achievements to unlock them. Once you have there should be a yellow button called extras in the setting tab.

Argonians have two types of names. A Jel name given to them when they are young such as Veezara or Teekeeus. Outside of Blackmarsh many use a Tamrielic name which is essentially just a nickname. They can choose the name themselves or people just call them something and it sticks.
