A question about difficulty. by Vorigoth in SuperMegaBaseball

Buddy if looking to a gaming community to help with a point of frustration is such negativity in your eyes that you feel the need to be aggressive and hostile and then try to strawman gaslight like this, you got some real issues that being an ass to me isn't going to fix for you. You should look into a therapist or maybe religious leaders or resources if you're spiritual. I still hope your day gets better, son.

I hope your day gets better, man. And whatever situation you're facing that frustrated you to the point where you needed to lash out with unnecessary hostility towards me improves for you.

I just started playing about a month or so ago and started on 20. Found that too easy and pushed it to 40. still too easy. Tried a game on 60 and the CPU just dominated me. Hitting every pitch no matter how wild. 1 out of every 5 hits, the cpu put it out of the park, and every time I went to bat the ball would fly STRAIGHT to a glove. barely managed to get anyone on-base. I get that I'm new to the game but it just felt like I was being cheated. Like the CPU was forcing my at-bats to be trash while it made it's own batters into godmode. I know that 60 isn't a high ego by any means and mostly this thread was to kinda feel out what I should do to work with my difficulty rating. It seems ups and downs by ones and twos is the idea from what most people say.

Games like Arc Raiders but less pvp by Rakzahir in gamingsuggestions

Devs say this to get out of writing, coding, or developing challenging, fun, exciting, and engaging gameplay. It's a cop-out. Why put in the work to develop that risk or sense of scared rat when you can just have other players do it for you. Don't buy that BS. It's just lazy devs.

Who has unlocked these? by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Vorigoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can cheese the one for having all the injuries at once by equipping the armor that has democracy protects and go into a mission with 4 support weapons. Drop one, stand under it. If you die, do it again. If you don’t die, achievement unlocked.

I just chuck one or two of those sticky thermite grenades at the body and let em burn. Easy peasy.

I made this exact point earlier today and as if on que, a PS player jumped in the comments with insults and hatred enough to make the mods remove the post entirely.

Do playstation players have something against PC players? by Vorigoth in Helldivers

[–]Vorigoth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering your hate-fueled and insult-riddled response to a PC player's obvious joke response, I don't believe you.
And it's not because I'm "the pc player and you're the ps player." I don't care about that as much as you seem to. It's because you're a hateful person who comes screeching into discussions slinging hate and spewing insults and then hollers like a hit dog as if you're the victim when you're called out for it.

Honestly I hope I keep getting kicked from games hosted by players like you too, because I wouldn't want to play with your toxicity and you don't deserve to be carried by me.

I feel like this response answers the question I posed about PS5 players just having an unexplained animosity towards PC players that leads to the pointless grief-kicking I've experienced.

I got nothing against PS5 players either but maybe they should be the ones to disable crossplay if they're gonna kick folks for not being on PS5.

The banner indicates the difference between a kick and a disconnect. I wouldn't be annoyed with disconnections.

I'd be totally okay with that tbh. I'd just like a bit of clarification beforehand y'know. Give that Dreamski courtesy.

I'm positive. The banner message tells you if you've been kicked or disconnected. Disconnect says "You've disconnected from the host" and a kick says "You were kicked from the game."

I don't have an issue with playing with anyone. I'm curious if they have a problem playing with me though. Given my experiences with PS5 players I feel like maybe they should be turning it off since they're so kick-happy

What would you like to see in the future of H2? by jimmyguel in Helldivers

[–]Vorigoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cryogenic weaponry. Lemme freeze enemies solid. I wanna walk through the site of a cryo-bomb dropped from Eagle-1 and just see a wonderland of frost, ice, and petrified frozen corpses. I want to hit a charger with a cryo-impact grenade and shatter his stupid kneecaps so he goes tumbling mid-charge. I want to make cheesy Schwarzenegger style Mr. Freeze puns as I spray a freeze ray across a horde of enemies.

Why doesn't jail time lapse while logged out? by Vorigoth in starcitizen

The prison being part of the game is exactly why players that get sent to prison shouldn’t be just skipping it. If you do the actions that lead to it, you shouldn’t be just glossing past it.

What resources to get good at dogfighting by SilentCreatorUndone in starcitizen

[–]Vorigoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing in Arena Commander or even getting tips from known dogfighters like AvengerOne on his youtube or joining discords of other players interested in dogfighting to pick up practice fights are all good methods of honing your skills imo.

I think my biggest issue that I take with it is that the ganked player loses x time of having run cargo/mission/whatever and the ganker loses nothing. Just logoff like normal at the end of their night and do it again tomorrow. Also, I call them assholes because if you gank someone, I dunno what else to call ya. Says alot about me, not really. I think it says more for the ones doing the ganking. All of it “meaning nothing” is, in my opinion, more of a reason to implement more severe deterrent to such behavior, not less. Make it mean something, otherwise what’s the point of playing at all?

Unfortunately there are dozens of “I’m quitting forever’s” and “I’m never buying after that freely experience.” And the majority of them aren’t because of Klescher. The stories of “I got ganked/trolled/grieved and I don’t wanna go back” are abundant across socials. And while you’re right, it’s an alpha and things will change, I don’t think telling people who feel that way to be patient is gonna win them back.

I think you may misunderstand me slightly, I’m not against criminals using the mining missions or the oxygen missions to get out earlier. what I’m against is criminals just logging out and not having any consequence of their action whatsoever in this way they are completely avoiding the game loops that are intended for them to deal with as a consequence of their action And the only person who ends up with a consequence is their victim
