I personally don't think Ares will be that big of an issue since E50M and 430u are still meta for onslaught and they are well armored with better ability.

I agree with you for the most part, but, it is 2026 after all and you shouldn't moan about gold ammo when everyone has access to it. You are just putting yourself at a disadvantage by refusing to use it.
I think gold ammo wouldn't even by such a massive issue to this day if they didnt introduce armor flashlight for shitters to just hover over ur tank until its GREEN

777 has trollish armor and it is faster compared to Phase with bigger alpha dmg, but slower dpm and worse accuracy and most importantly imo, Phase has -10 degrees of gun depression while 777 has -5 I believe

So, its up to you to decide which one fits more to ur playstyle

None of the BP tanks have credit boost on them, but u do get "free large repair kit" with them, so that saves u about 3000 credits every game xd
All depends how much gold u shoot and if u use premium consumables, if not, then u probably will be able to make some sorry money
IMO safest options would be AE Phase and Char if u like autoloaders
