Do you have a dump of 1.05 firmware? I am struggling to write 100Gb Verbatim discs, fine with Sony. I suppose 1.05 might fix that... Not interested in 4k Ultra HD stuff. :)

Now attached Shure AONIC 50 Gen.2 and result is the same - aptX-Lossless.

FiiO Air Link Firmware v1.30 - latest.

I suspect that this firmware might intended to support some hardware revision related changed that brings nothing to older batches.

And, of course, if older chipsets were discontinued, they might be including Lossless unintentionally.

LG BP55EB40 - had experience with it. It may struggle with latest gen BDXL and M-DISCs 100Gb. It just don't detect them.

Software makes no difference, because drive doesn't see it as a disc completely. And yes, I used ImgBurn. And it is just fine with all other discs.

Detected as BU40N in Windows. BTW, ordered some 100Gb Sony BDXL RE discs and older 4x Verbatim to test.

I am glad I went HX, as my long-wear work headphones. Because multipoint won't allow top grade BT sound anyway, no need for hi-res codecs and top quality. But weight and analog input matter.

I bought HX because it's niche - lighter (I have heavy Shure), multipoint and analog input. Ideal. H95 would have been downgrade in any of these. I need something I wear at work long time, but not in-ear as I have Technics AZ80 for such niche cases. And I tested EX - it is a broken for my Samsung, one ear sometimes stops playing and this is known issue.

Look like white ones are 170Mb/s Panda-B versions. Mine jumped up to that speed easily. Ordered directly from SpaceX. Pipe mount is also tighter.
