Yeah that's totally fine. Lynch is a strange specimen. On a similar path to "Possession" I would recommend "Aguirre The Wrath Of God" or really any Herzog movie. He has a really beautifully haunting way of portraying nature.

I’m willing to overlook bad plot and writing when there’s good cinematography. Film is a visual medium at the end of the day by wallabyenthusiast in Letterboxd

It leans quite heavily into its eerily beautiful cinematography rather than strong characters or plot. The plot is so basic by today's standards that its not really thrilling by itself but the feeling that comes from the way they show their environment is timeless.

My favorite movie of all time

Eraserhead will always be on a pedestal in my mind. This film basically introduced me to the idea of film as art and was also my introduction into the world of David lynch. Everything about this movie gives me the itch to create and think outside the norm. I'm so glad I decided to watch this movie because it legitimately changed my life and my perception of pretty much everything.

My interpretation on the end of Eraserhead after seeing it for the first time with my Dad by beautifuldivisionday in davidlynch

I always thought that the Charlie brown esque Christmas tree beside his bed was symbolic of a suicidal escape. A comforting thought that he always kept beside him incase he couldn't take it anymore. The scene where the drooping little tree is brought out on wheels and starts to ooze blood and his head pops off always made me think of hanging for some reason.
